Dr. Renana Eitan has been treating 15 freed Hamas hostages at the Tel Aviv Medical Center, and she described the barbarian conditions they were held under and the psychological and physical torture they were subjected to.
She spoke to Fox News "Sunday Night in America" and revealed what she's been seeing:
I can tell you that on behalf of all the medical and psychological teams treating those who return, the mental states we encountered have no precedent in medical literature. We feel that we have to rewrite the textbooks of post-trauma.
Publicly, some of them (like Egypt and Jordan) are falling in line with public opinion in their countries and condemning the civilian deaths caused by Israel’s military response. But behind the scenes, almost every leader in the region, including in most of the Gulf states, is urging Israel to end the war only after Hamas is defeated, since they view the organization as a dangerous domestic enemy. //
In the days after the brutal October 7 attacks executed by Hamas, Egypt knew what was going to happen. They deployed tanks to the border while their prime minister vowed that his country would sacrifice millions to keep their borders safe. He was not referring to Israel. //
When the Arab nations met for a summit in November, when some sought to enact punitive measures against Israel, those measures were stopped by Saudi Arabia and countries that had come together with Israel in the Abraham Accords, engineered by former president Donald Trump, as well as Egypt and Jordan. //
The resolution to adopt these measures was blocked by Israel’s Abraham accords partner states the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco. They were joined by Egypt and Jordan, two countries with long-standing peace agreements with Israel. Saudi Arabia, Mauritania and Djibouti also opposed the measures. //

Oh, I think they're helping Israel bigly in the background.
There are no Sunni Arab street riots, and whatever statements they issue about Israel's actions are muted and not acted upon, even after 5 weeks of combat.
Egypt moved tanks to it's border with Gaza to keep the martyrs (voluntary and involuntary) from entering Egypt, and none of the Sunni nations are offering to take in any Gazan refugees. (Once bitten, twice shy.)
The Sunnis see Israel as the guarantor of their security in the face of Shi'ite Iranian aggression.
The Saudis in particular are really worried about Iran and have dodged missiles launched from Iranian-supported Houthis in Yemen for years.
Plus, MBS has made major changes to transform Saudia Arabia into a modern nation, something that would greatly increase the country's power and influence and could change the entire Middle East, to the detriment of Iran.
With the US and the UN pushing Israel to extend any ceasefire and to "protect the refugees," Israel and the Sunni Arab nations of the MENA have found a common interest in survival.
The Times of Israel reported:
The Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement that Hamas “violated the framework, did not meet its obligation to release all hostage women, and fired rockets at Israel.”
“Amid the return to combat, we stress the government of Israel is committed to achieving the goals of the war — releasing our hostages, eliminating Hamas, and ensuring that Gaza can never again threaten the people of Israel.”

In a blow to the "ceasefire now" crowd, including clownishly antisemitic politicians like Rep. Rashida Tlaib, Hamas leadership has let it be known that they don't want a ceasefire.
The first indication of that came on Thursday when Hamas carried out a terrorist attack in Jerusalem, leaving three dead and dozens injured. If that wasn't clear enough, though, Hamas' leader in Gaza Yahya Sinwar let it be known on the same day that the October 7th attacks were just a rehearsal.

Leftists who claim to want multiculturalism absolutely refuse to acknowledge the core tenets of other cultures. They assume everyone views the world as they do (not based in reality). They refuse to believe what those of another culture explicitly tell them. Hamas is not hiding their mission, the MSM tries/lies to.
Since World War II, most American Jews have believed that the more secular American society is, the more secure their status.
This has been, as I have argued all of my life, a colossal error. Indeed, it may turn out to be a fatal error.
With the outburst of unprecedented levels of antisemitism, American Jews are living the famous warning: “Beware what you wish for; you just may get it.”
The primary reason American Jews have lived in the most Jew-friendly, even Jew-honoring, country in history is that most Americans have been Christian. But we must make a key distinction here. American Christians have been not just Christian, as Europe was, but Judeo-Christian. //
In a famous study published in the American Political Science Review, Donald Lutz, a professor of political science at the University of Houston, surveyed the political literature of the American founding. He found that the Bible was cited more frequently than any other work or any other author. The Bible accounted for approximately one-third of the Founders’ citations. The single most frequently cited work was Deuteronomy, the fifth of the five books of the Torah.
The late great Catholic theologian Michael Novak wrote that the roots of the doctrine that “all men are created equal lie in Judaism, carried around the world by Christians.”
As American society and Americans individually become less religious, i.e., less Christian, the Jews become less significant.
Yet, many, perhaps most, American Jews, have bought—and promulgated—the idea that Jewish security in America lies in secularizing, i.e., de-Christianizing, America. //
Look around, my fellow Jews. Are you happy with the results of the secularization of America? Do you feel more secure? Or less?
I ask you: Is it not obvious that when more Americans attended church every Sunday, America’s Jews were far more secure?
Elon Musk Meets With Benjamin Netanyahu In Israel: “It is one thing to kill civilians accidentally, it is another to revel in the killing of civilians. It’s just evil.”
Netanyahu and Musk “agreed on the clear lesson — there is no chance for peace or security as long as Hamas exists.”
The Heartbreaking Message Israeli Soldiers Will Have to Deliver to Rescued Child Hostages – RedState
One of the children expected to be released is Emily Hand, the Irish-Israeli child whose father wept with relief after erroneously being told she was killed on October 7; he felt death was "a blessing" compared to what his daughter would face being held captive by Hamas terrorists. His worst fears were realized when he learned she was indeed being held hostage in Gaza.b//
One other thing to note about the list of hostages expected to be released: There are no men on that list, and many speculate that is deliberate. By leaving husbands and fathers in captivity, the women and children who are freed may not want to speak of the atrocities they endured in order to keep the men safe. In essence, they will still be hostages of Hamas.
Do you know the history of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict?
Hamas, a terrorist group backed by Iran, recently launched a brutal attack on Israeli civilians. As lies and misinformation spread across the Internet and the media, it’s critical that you know the truth about Israel and the Middle East conflict.
You'll note, of course, the extremely awkward phrasing there, especially when it comes to "targeting Arab-speakers." That's pure Hamas propaganda playing up the "genocide" angle that's so popular in the West right now. There is no evidence that the Israel Defense Force is doing that. In fact, the IDF itself said they were going to specifically target Hamas operatives to try and avoid civilian casualties.
The network had to offer a retraction and an apology because it's extremely clear there were no editors on duty or, just as likely (if not more likely), the editors on duty also think Israel is both evil enough to do such a thing and dumb enough to announce it. //
The problem for the BBC, as the tweet above explains, is that this is all too common for the news outlet these days. //

MAN: And as for the resistance, they come and hide among the people. Why are they hiding among the people? They can go to hell and hide there.
The moment the man disparages Hamas the "reporter" turns to walk away, abruptly ending the interview. Whether that's because Al Jazeera is hopelessly a biased network or because there is legitimate fear in reporting anything negative about Hamas while on the ground in Gaza doesn't really matter. The point is that the man is right.
It was much different than a pro-Hamas rally, as New York Sun publisher Dovid Efune noted:
-
Nobody was assaulted.
-
There were many American flags.
-
There was no racism or bigotry.

Nobody was hiding behind a face mask.
-
Concern was expressed for innocents on the other side.
-
It was bipartisan.
-
It was much, much larger! //
rally organizers had three goals:
The biggest pro-Israel rally since the October 7 terrorist attack by Hamas is expected to take place Tuesday on the National Mall in Washington, DC. Organized by the Jewish Federations of North America and the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, the rally has three main goals:
MARCH for Israel
MARCH to Free Hostages
MARCH Against Antisemitism //
President Isaac Herzog of Israel spoke to the cheering crowd by video feed from the Western Wall in Jerusalem, telling them, “There is no greater and more just cause than this... Today we come together as a family, one big mishpachah, to march for Israel.”

Extended family, which captures the feelings of most Christians when we think about our Jewish brethren. Well-chosen words by Herzog.
Sadly, this is the thing that most of this nation's antisemites don't grasp. They look at Israel with their Marxist eyes and see an oppressor. They see a few million Jews surrounded by 400 million Arabs and actually believe that the tiny nation of survivors is the literal heir to the Third Reich. We look at tiny Israel and see the people who gave us our Christ. We see the people who God chose thousands of years ago, and has promised to redeem in His good time. We see plucky little survivors who've overcome the worst evils time and time again.
Our extended family indeed. God bless Israel, and God bless the United States of America. Lord knows we both need it.
Regardless, I'll return to the one big question that is most relevant now. In Ocasio-Cortez's magic world, who runs Gaza if a ceasefire is agreed upon? She'll never say, and she'll never be put in a position to say.
What he did was contribute to the risks to not only Israelis but Americans, because it's coming to a theater near you. If Hamas is not stopped in its tracks from doing the terrorist acts, they will bring them to the United States. //
Barack Obama, ever the smug globalist, and ever the cheerleader for the Palestinians, is never going to change his Israel-blaming stripes. Thankfully, Bibi Netanyahu and the Israeli people are no longer affected by his actions or rhetoric.

I'm sorry if you "are contending with extensive power outages, food and water shortages, and a breakdown of the medical system." This may be a shock, but you are in a war zone, and unless you brought your own, the person responsible for supplying those items is your employer, not the IDF. It is unfortunate you are uncomfortable, but you are the one who decided to act like a vulture picking at carrion for fame and fortune, and you need to man up and own it.
You, a journalist, are not qualified to use words that have legal meanings, like "genocide" and "ethnic cleansing." These are terms that international tribunals, not reporters, award, and they carry legal consequences. Neither of those is happening in Gaza. Israel has opened a humanitarian corridor to allow safe passage of refugees out of the area of combat operations. Civilians are killed when they choose or are forced to be human shields for Hamas terrorists. //
Being a journalist does not get you immunity from the consequences of being in a war zone. Period. If you are embedded with combatants, you take the risks they take. If you are an active partisan and trying to sway international opinion in favor of a terrorist enterprise, in my view, you've become a legitimate target. And let's not be coy here. Evidence indicates the overwhelming majority of reporters who elect to report from the Hamas side of the battle line are Hamas partisans masquerading as journalists. We know, for instance, that the Associated Press shared office space with the Hamas leadership until an Israeli bomb evicted the lot of them. //
Being embedded with an FBI SWAT team raiding a criminal hideout is a lot different than helping a Mafia hit squad do its work. One is legal, the other makes you a criminal accomplice. No amount of letter writing is going to save the "journalists" who accompanied terrorists, nor should it; //
Finally, journalists are there to report accurately and objectively. It is the job of the senior editors and the publisher to decide what, if any, position the outlet takes on an issue. The idea that you get to use someone else's outlet to push your peculiar worldview shows a stunning lack of maturity.

It's not just evangelicals. One of the weird things about Israel is that you have to view it through a biblical lens or you miss the point. The IDF truly believes its hand is guided by G-d in this war, which means that no one is going to convince the government to stop what its doing, because this is blasphemy, and the Bible is full of people who got bonked for that conduct. Example: tomorrow, millions of Jews around the world will be celebrating Yigal Amir Day. November 4 is the day that Amir executed Rabin for his existential crime against the Jews. As a reminder of what happened, Rabin had succumbed to demands of the Clinton Administration to a cease fire and halt of military campaigns against the PLO, and raised a stink about proportionality and humanitarian "pauses." As a result, Amir, much like Pinchas in the Torah, rose up amongst the Jewish people and slayed Rabin. And the people rejoiced because they had been spared Rabin's ongoing crimes. How is the Biden Admin celebrating this event? By sending the Secretary of State to Israel to the Prime Minister for a cease fire and halt of military campaigns against the PLO, and raising a stink about proportionality and humanitarian "pauses." If you are Bibi, how do you react to the cluelessness of this timing? The Progressives see what Blinken is doing as "progress." The Israelis view it as "sin." If the United States can't figure this out, and figure out how to work around it, which means not trying this foolishness on Nov 4, then we are nothing more than a paper tiger here in the US while Israel remains the lion of Judah. That's why the evangelicals love Israel and the progressives do not. In the old days, this is why I advised political leaders in Washington, because Washington used to know how to listen. Today, its the bull in the china shop and consequences be damned and Amir had to the bear the burden off Clinton's sins.
To examine why this is, and also to assist in understanding why there is such astonishing contempt for Israel among today’s anti-hoi polloi, a brief history lesson. ... //
Considering all the above, it is little wonder that progressives hate Israel and Jews with such passion. Progressives believe they must despise whatever, or whoever, the other side loves. Evangelicals, i.e., conservatives, love Israel and demonstrate no bias against Jews? We must do the opposite! And so, in its zeal to disdain everyone and everything held dear by those believed inferior, progressives have revealed the fatal flaw in their reasoning. They preach love and tolerance yet exhibit neither. Instead, they are miffed to the point of madness by the notion that the God in Whom they seldom believe has deemed someone other than themselves as His elect. As Jesus Himself said to His disciples just before His arrest and crucifixion, ironically speaking of the Jews in the psalmist’s words that today find themselves used against Jews, “They hated Me without reason.” //

Jerry,
While I agree with your basic review of the reasons that evangelicals support Israel, I believe that the progressive opposition to Israel vigorously defending itself runs much deeper than the typical knee-jerk reaction of the progs that whatever conservatives/evangelicals are for they are against. Time and again, the progs have sided with pure evil in all of its forms but have successfully masked their true intent. The attack on Israel by Hamas on October 7 has ripped off the mask. Now the world can clearly see that the progressives stand for evil in the same way that after Nazi Germany attacked Poland the world could see what they were actually about. Progressives hate the Truth because the Truth comes from God whom they also hate. They are against any authority that claims to be above and beyond their reach. If you begin with that premise, it explains much of why they behave the way they do and what groups and causes they support. //

Evangelicals love Israel because of the Bible. Leftists hate Jews because of their "bible," which is Marxism. Marx wrote some of the most vicious anti-Semitic trash ever seen. Conservatives need to read Marx and Satan, by Richard Wurmbrand, a Jew who became an evangelical Christian.

Why Evangelicals Love Israel and Progressives Do Not
Because Evangelicals who have read a bible know that their God is the God of Israel, created for Himself, and it is the Christian church that has been grafted into the family of Israel through the shed blood of the rabbi Christ's sacrifice and not the other way around. Christ didn't do away with Judaic law. He fulfilled all its points so we don't have to. But the standard of accountability is the same now as it was then: mess with Israel, and things will go very bad for you. Maybe not in our lifetime, but God will not be mocked nor tempted for long. If he takes his time with it, it is only to give the guilty a chance to repent before he goes all medieval on them.
Here's Gods take on it. Israelis the olive tree in this analogy.
Romans 11:17 ...
