Julin would go on to explain that the proper procedure was for Walz to come to him to request authorization to retire. Instead, he went around Julin and found someone further up the chain of command to back his play. That left his unit high and dry as they were fully expecting him to be there to help lead on the deployment.

If we could convince Kamala Harris that illegal aliens are actually journalists trying to ask her questions she'd build that border wall in five seconds.

There are lies, damned lies, and government statistics — and maybe none is more damnable than the official unemployment rate which is half the actual rate, according to Rasmussen. Worse, the number of Americans who are neither retired nor employed is more than four times higher than July's official rate of 4.3%. //
Rasmussen surveyed nearly 9,000 American adults and found that in July the percentage of Americans who are unemployed and looking for work — this is the number that the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) should report each month — was 8.4%. The BLS reported a rosy 4.3% unemployment rate last month, up from June's equally imaginary 4.1%.
From there, things only get worse. Because under Bidenomics, of course, they do.
One in four adult Americans is retired, which is nice for them. Fifteen percent say they're entrepreneurs (that can be anything from driving an Uber to launching a Silicon Valley startup), and just under 30% are employed by a private company.
Nearly one in 10 work for the government at one level or another. //
That means the percentage of Americans who could be working and perhaps would really like to be working but either can't find work or have given up finding work is 18.1%. That's more than four times the official unemployment rate.
It also means that the 45% of Americans who do work in the private sector are, in one way or another, supporting the 55% who don't, can't, or won't work.
First off, the idea that the first inkling that Walz got of mobilization was a press release from the National Guard Bureau is ludicrous. The unit command group would have received a warning order, or WARNORD, months before the official notification. What is instructive is that in March, Walz told everyone that he intended to deploy with his battalion. For Walz to retire in May, his retirement request would have already been submitted. He not only abandoned his men, he lied to his constituents.
In short, neither of the newfound excuses for Walz is operable. He didn't retire from the National Guard to run for office because a) there was no requirement that he do so and b) because his campaign said he would deploy to Iraq with his unit, and the campaign would go on. He did know his unit would deploy to Iraq because it was public knowledge in March and the decision by the Pentagon to call up his unit would have been made months earlier. //

How Walz’s career survived the DUI says there is more to this than meets the eyes and ears of the sheeple.
Vance on X: “I thought the reporters traveling with Kamala might be a little lonely given that she never answers questions from them, so I figured I’d come say hello and check out my new plane while I was at it.”
The rally was held at a hangar, and people had to ride in shuttle buses (yellow school buses) from the parking area to the hangar. The problem was, there were no signs telling them where to board shuttle buses upon return, and since the hangar was next to a UPS facility, by the time the rally ended there were UPS trucks everywhere, blocking the buses. According to attendee Josiah Lippincott it was utter chaos.
Where Vance was the ultimate volunteer, choosing a service he knew would result in deployment to Iraq, Walz approached his enlistment to get benefits and improve his chances for professional advancement. When Vance was ordered to Iraq, he went. When Walz, the senior noncommissioned officer in his battalion, was ordered to Iraq, he quit and left his men high and dry.
Vice President Kamala Harris' running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, is being accused of cowardice and lying about his service record while he was serving in the Minnesota National Guard before his time as governor. In a letter to the editor of the West Central Tribune dated November 2, 2018, retired Command Sergeants Major Thomas Behrends and Paul Herr alleged that Walz lied or embellished his service record and shirked his duty as the senior enlisted leader of a Minnesota National Guard unit as it was about to be deployed to Iraq in 2005. //
When Walz and his battalion received warning orders that he, along with the battalion, would need to prepare for activation and mobilization for deployment to Iraq in early 2005, Walz committed the ultimate sin. He quit on his soldiers. //
His official retirement document states, SOLDIER NOT AVAILABLE FOR SIGNATURE. //

When the going gets tough, the walzers go walzing.
There is no evidence that Donald Trump faked a disability to dodge the draft. That allegation has floated around and was investigated in detail by the New York Times. As Hasan was one of the loud voices pushing the debunked Russia Hoax, I wouldn't expect him to be particularly persuaded by the truth. But, arguendo, let's concede that a friendly doctor got Trump out of the draft after his student deferments ran out in 1972. By 1972, American involvement in the Vietnam War was running down. Trump's birthday is June 14, giving him a lottery number of 113. The highest lottery number called up in Trump's year of eligibility was 95. //

And let’s not forget that after being shot and shot at Trump’s gotten right back up and gone right back out there, while knowing for a fact that the agency that is supposed to have his back is at best case incompetent for the job.
Walz didn’t even get to the point where he might get shot at before he cut and ran.
According to his official Report of Separation and Record of Service, he re-enlisted for six years on September 18th, 2001. However, in his response he says that he re-enlisted for four years, conveniently retiring a year before his battalion was deployed to Iraq. Even if he had re-enlisted for four years following Sept.11, his retirement date would have been September 18th, 2005. Why then did he "retire" on May 16th, 2005, before his supposed four-year enlistment was up? And he makes it sound like he "retired" a year before his battalion deployed to Iraq; when in reality he knew when he "retired" that the battalion would be deployed to Iraq.
Tim Walz is an American coward, plain and simple. He betrayed his word, his contract; he betrayed his men. He committed the ultimate act of betrayal, and that is irrefutable. It is beyond offensive to those of us who not only served our country but who had the honor and privilege to serve with our brothers and sisters in combat. //

Well said. Having never served, I won't accuse Walz of cowardice. That is for veterans like the writer above, not the likes of me. However, remember this. If Walz, as the senior enlisted in his unit, was willing to abandon his troops, and his responsibilities to them, for personal gain (Congress), what isn't he willing to do for personal gain?
As it turned out, on Wednesday, both JD Vance and Kamala Harris were arriving at the airport in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Once again, Harris needed help to buff out her crowd by having a popular musician at her event, Bon Iver.
But when Vance arrived, he skewered Harris' effort to avoid reporters but good. He walked over to where Air Force Two was and delivered a great shot.
Vance joked, "It's going to be my plane in a few months."
Then he said, "I also thought you guys may get lonely" because Kamala Harris "doesn't answer questions from reporters and hasn't in 17 days." He asked them if the Harris team had given them any explanation for her avoiding the media. He said he thought it would be good if she took questions rather than running a campaign from a basement and with a teleprompter. Then he smiled and thanked them.
His tactic worked. One reporter asked what he wanted to hear from Harris. Vance responded he wanted to hear what she wanted to do in the office and why her positions have all flip-flopped. He said she pretended to be a tough-on-crime prosecutor but then was for defunding the police and opening the border.
Vance finished by saying it was "disgraceful" how she was blowing them off, as Harris was avoiding the media with her motorcade pulling away behind Vance.
The Democratic Socialists of America claimed credit for Walz being picked in a thread on X.
Harris choosing Walz as a running mate has shown the world that DSA and our allies on the left are a force that cannot be ignored. Through collective action, DSA and the US left more broadly have made it clear that change is needed. DSA members organized in our workplaces and unions to realign the labor movement to support Palestinian liberation.
The Uncommitted movement, in which DSA members played crucial roles nationally and in multiple states, pressured the Democratic establishment into choosing a new candidate and backing down from a potential VP with direct ties to the IDF and who would have ferociously supported the ongoing genocide in Palestine. //
But what the DSA is telling us by this is that they seem to believe Walz was the more left-wing choice. That tells you everything you need to know about him, because they sure don't sound like they think he's a "centrist," as the media is trying to pitch him.
You know the power I have as a prosecutor is that with the swipe of my pen, I can charge someone with a misdemeanor for the lowest level offense possible. And by virtue of that swipe of my pen, you will have to go to a courthouse and stand in line. You will have to come out of pocket and hire an attorney. You may get arrested for a few hours. You will be embarrassed in your community. You will miss time from coming onto the Google campus.
All because with the swipe of my pen, I've tried to charge you with a crime. Which I may choose to dismiss two weeks later. //
That may or may not have been her intent, but her swaying comportment and her excitement at talking about her magical powers are nevertheless chilling.
Those who contend that she was merely arguing in favor of prosecutorial discretion miss a key point: the kind of harassment she talks about is exactly what we’ve seen for three and half years out of the Biden/Harris Justice Department. They selectively prosecute enemies based on their political affiliation, and have waged a relentless, corrupt campaign against their number one foe, GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump.
... I could smell the burning tires, and that was -- that was a very real thing. And I kept the windows open for as long as I could because I felt like that was such a touchstone of what was happening." //
In those first days, Walz's daughter, Hope, made sure rioters knew that the National Guard was not going to be deployed on the night of May 28 so they could continue their rampage. //
By their words and actions, it's clear that the entire Walz family stood in solidarity with the anti-American hooligans who sought to destroy the businesses and homes of the people in Minneapolis who could least afford to have their neighborhoods destroyed, ...
In an exclusive breaking story, several Federal Air Marshal whistleblowers have come forward with information showing that former U.S. Representative and Presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard is currently enrolled in the Quiet Skies program. Quiet Skies is a TSA surveillance program with its own compartmentalized suspected terrorist watchlist. It is the same program being weaponized against J6 defendants and their families. Quiet Skies is allegedly used to protect traveling Americans from suspected domestic terrorists. //
Air Marshals were first assigned to Gabbard on Jul. 23, a day after she criticized Kamala Harris, Biden, and the National Security State in an interview with Laura Ingraham. FAMs were mobilized on Jul. 24 and assigned to their first flight with her on Jul. 25.
DESANTIS: Well, here's what I would just say generally. The election needs to be about the fact that Kamala Harris is an unacceptable choice for president of the United States. Doesn't matter what you thought before. Now, she cannot be president for a variety of reasons. I've articulated some. I know the campaign has done other.
Any other energy spent talking about anything else, I think, is playing on the Democrats' turf. They want the election to be about something that the VP candidate said five years ago or something that happened ten years ago. If we're arguing on that, then the Democrats are in a better spot. This is about Kamala.
She is not equipped to be president. That's why Obama didn't endorse her right out of the gate, because he knows that. Now it looks like she's corralled the nomination, but we can't act like she's somehow an acceptable choice. She's the most left-wing nominee that we have had in this country in at least fifty years. //

DeSantis is 100% right here. We all must stay focused on Harris. She is not acceptable as president. She is that bad. I mean, I hate Obama, but he was at least competent at what he did even if everything he did was awful. Harris will be bad at everything she does and she'll make huge mistakes. She'll be far worse than even Biden was. That must be the message.
Republicans -- ALL Republicans must stay on message about that.
No, don't call her puerile names. No, don't bring up her flip-flopping race claims. No, don't even bring up her using sex to gain power. Let surrogates do that.
For all pundits, politicians, Trump staff, and Trump/Vance themselves, it must be about how incompetent Harris is and what a disaster her Vice Presidency was and how influential she was with the Biden administration. That's evidence of how bad she will be as president.

US Vice President Kamala Harris hailed the latest jobs report and praised ‘Bidenomics’ at an event in Washington, D.C. https://reut.rs/47wSDr1
7:10 PM · Aug 4, 2023. //
The Federal Reserve has raised interest rates in a constant effort to combat inflation. Typically, when you start raising interest rates at that pace, it leads to a recession. I say "typically" because it hasn't happened yet, and many economists assumed the Fed had pulled off the soft landing. However, the sudden contraction in the jobs market has brought those worries back to the fore, and people are panicking.
If the Biden-Harris administration was taking credit for the economy a year ago, then it should be made to take credit for it now. In truth, Biden's policies did create the sharp rise in inflation that we as consumers are still dealing with. In truth, that rise in inflation led the Fed to start hiking rates, which forced the economy to begin to contract. In truth, this has led us to where we are today.
But if we're going to be accurate, when Kamala Harris went into the United States Senate, it was AP that said she was the first Indian American United States senator. It was actually played up a lot when she came into the Senate. Now she's running nationally. Obviously, the campaign has shifted. They're talking much more about - about her father's heritage and her black identity.
It doesn't really matter. The president mentioned it. What he also talks about far more frequently is the fact that Kamala Harris is the person who created this massive inflation which is destroying black families, white families, Hispanic families. It's her failure as border czar that has left our southern border wide open. More than 10 million illegal immigrants coming into our country. Record fentanyl coming into our country which has killed more Americans than at any other point in the history of our country with respect specifically to fentanyl.
As a tangential, secondary attack, it is obviously hurting enough that the Democrats are trying to shut that conversation down.
It is amazing (though paradoxically not surprising) that the media industry behaves as though we cannot discern their full in-the-tank position with Kamala Harris. They have spent the past two weeks literally rewriting her history on multiple political positions, selling these bald-faced lies as if her record is something that would defy basic research.
REPORTER: Is Kamala going to make you a little more likely or less likely to vote Democrat?
BLACK MAN ONE: Well, hold on, Greg, hold on, Greg, is Kamala black? Yes or no.
BLACK MAN TWO: I'm gonna allow her to speak on that, but to me, no.
BLACK MAN ONE: Oh...(turns to man sitting next to him), is Kamala black, yes or no?
BLACK MAN THREE: I share that same view.
BLACK MAN ONE: Wow...(turns to other man sitting next to him) is Kamala black? Yes or no.
BLACK MAN FOUR: I heard she wasn't. I heard she's half-black and half-Asian.
