https://thehill.com/opinion/4784733-biden-withdraws-democratic-party-nominee/
After weeks of Democrats and the media raising the alarm of his mental capacity, Biden finally gave up his public refusal to step aside. Harris will now be the nominee through succession by defenestration, or being tossed from a window. Yet, there remains a lingering question of Biden’s capacity to serve for another six months as president.
President Joe Biden’s decision to withdraw as the Democratic Party’s nominee solved an immediate problem for his party. Biden has plummeted in the polls as the vast majority of voters concluded that he is too diminished by age to serve another term.
Yet, it has now created several new problems, including the obvious problem of a president who is viewed as incapable of running for an office that he continues to hold. //
Millions voted for [Biden], and tens of millions of dollars were contributed to his campaign. He is now withdrawing weeks before accepting the nomination. That unprecedented decision alone would warrant a House investigation into Biden’s continuing capacity to serve in an office that he no longer believes he can run to occupy after January 2025.
Before this decision, a special counsel cited President Biden’s diminished faculties as a reason not to indict him for unlawfully retaining and handling classified material. Now, the president is effectively saying that, in addition to being allegedly too diminished to be prosecuted, he is too diminished to run for the office that he currently holds.
The question is whether Biden has ended the fight to retain his nomination only to trigger a fight to retain his office.
In light of the Biden administration's poor record of truth-telling when it comes to POTUS' medical condition, many people questioned whether that COVID diagnosis was a convenient way to get Biden out of the spotlight for a few days, or if there was more to the story. Based on the reporting of Charlie Kirk and Jordan Schachtel, portions of which were confirmed independently by RedState's Brittany Sheehan, and exclusive details provided to RedState by a well-placed credible source, it seems that skepticism was justified. According to these sources, Biden had a sudden medical emergency and was headed toward University Medical Center trauma center before his team decided to "medivac" him out instead, and that medical emergency was some type of neurological event like a transient ischemic attack. //
Several law enforcement officers on duty that day were informed over the radio that the president was dealing with an unspecified medical emergency. Far from a case of the sniffles, this was sent out on encrypted police airwaves as if something akin to a five-alarm fire had broken out.
Our sources estimate that it was “easily” hundreds of Las Vegas Metropolitan officers and employees who heard the broadcasts live, so a curious media shouldn’t have a problem reporting any follow-ups to this story. The dispatches made clear that this was much more than a mere change of plans, because it set into motion so much of their on-duty emergency response apparatus.
Radio dispatchers responsible for coordinating with the president’s detail requested an immediate “surge” of law enforcement resources into the area, both to secure the vicinity and to expedite the president’s movement. //
But the president’s team decided not to bring him to the hospital. The plans changed in rapid succession once more. It was then relayed over to on duty officers on the president’s detail that they would need to clear an express route to Harry Reid International Airport. The police assigned to the president’s detail and the emergency “in the box” squads then redeployed their resources to getting the president out of town as fast and as safe as humanly possible. //
US Secret Service diverted from the route to University Medical Center back to the tarmac when their doctor determined it wasn't a full stroke, and they could treat him on Air Force One.
The source added that it's now believed that Biden had a TIA. //

PROOF OF LIFE? Biden shuffles out of his motorcade, mumbles incoherently at reporters, and ascends the stairs of the smaller AF1.
It's Biden's first public appearance since the coup to force him off the ballot.
1:48 PM · Jul 23, 2024
These transcripts are a big deal because one of the most direct allegations of criminality involving Biden's actions was that he shared classified information with his biographer. Had these been handed over months ago, it could have dramatically escalated the stakes regarding Hur's investigation and his subsequent report. It would have also deepened the scandal for a White House that was already in crisis given Biden's other issues, including his mental and physical condition.
It is simply not believable that the DOJ didn't know about these transcripts until the exact moment it became most politically convenient to acknowledge them. Now that Biden is out of the race, he is no longer in need of protection from AG Merrick Garland and his compromised department. Further, it allows now-presumptive Democratic Party nominee Kamala Harris to claim that the administration is "transparent" despite the obvious timing issues at play. The same is true of the sudden reversal by Secret Service head Kimberly Cheatle, who resigned on Tuesday.
Then there's the other aspect at play. Could this be part of a ploy to go ahead and push Biden to resign the presidency, giving Harris a chance to garner an incumbency advantage? I wouldn't put anything past the DOJ and the administration as a whole at this point. Everything is on the table given the continued evidence of their dishonesty and corruption.
Right now, this looks like a two-birds-with-one-stone setup, and I don't think too many people are going to buy that it's just a coincidence.
Democrats’ success in removing Biden from the ballot should serve as a wake-up call to normie America about the security of our elections.
If you need further proof that Democrats will go to extreme lengths to rig elections in their favor, look no further than the silent coup that occurred Sunday, when it was announced that Joe Biden would not seek reelection this November.

It's because their entire philosophy is incapable of improving the lot of humanity. They build nothing. Like locusts, they come into fields that others labored to produce, eat to their heart's content, and leave devastation in their wake. They create equality in the worst way, but tearing down success to ensure that everyone is equally miserable.
They're demons in human form, doing the devil's work wherever they cast their eye.
It was one of the most epic political takedowns you’ll ever see, and it occurred during the August 2019 Democrat presidential debate. Then-Senator for California Kamala Harris, whose campaign had started out with such hope and fanfare, basically saw her effort die after one exchange with Tulsi Gabbard, the Army Reserve officer and former representative for Hawaii.
Gabbard brought the fight to Harris, saying her record as a prosecutor was deeply problematic.
She blocked evidence – she blocked evidence that would have freed an innocent man from death row until the courts forced her to do so. She kept people in prison beyond their sentences to use them as cheap labor for the state of California.
The tongue-lashing clearly shocked Kamala (watch her face), and in essence, she never recovered. As our sister site Twitchy reported Sunday, Gabbard has come back to haunt Harris once again now that Joe Biden has called it quits on his reelection campaign.
The vice president is the maidservant to Hillary Clinton, Gabbard warned:
Trump should refuse to debate Harris and label her as an illegitimately selected candidate who was put into the race by unelected party oligarchs. //
At this point, the spotlight needs to be focused on the Democrat decision to replace Biden, the hypocrisy of him staying in office, and treating Harris as an usurper in the field who has no right to be taken seriously.

Does this mean Harris is automatically the nominee? The answer is no, but what this does is paint Democrats into a corner. With Biden having stepped aside, he's already done them a massive favor. For there to be any movement against Harris at this point would cause a huge rift within the Democratic Party. Yes, she's deeply unpopular and losing to Trump according to the current polling, but she's the vice president and she checks way too many intersectional boxes to be pushed aside.
In short, this could get really ugly going forward. Either Harris is coronated and there's some semblance of unity within the party or others step up to challenge her and you've got chaos. //
Regardless, no American voter should forget who lied to them. If the nominee does end up being Kamala Harris, she knew about Biden's condition. She was in the administration that covered it up and trashed anyone who dared question the official narrative. She is culpable, and the fact that she misled voters is a genuine scandal. This fight is just beginning.

If he is not fit to run for reelection, how is he fit to run the country till January 20, 2025? The party that is screaming the most about “threat to democracy” has already ENDED our democracy because unelected people are running the country, not Joe Biden.
Secretary of State Antony Blinken used the occasion of an interview at the Aspen Security Forum to announce that Iran “is now probably one or two weeks” away from having enough fissile material to construct a nuclear weapon. The real news is that Iran may already have a bomb. //
What is much more likely is that the Iranians have a nuclear weapon on hand. In February 2023, Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Colin Kahl told the House Armed Services Committee that Iran could make enough fissile for one nuclear bomb in "about 12 days." If they could make enough material for a bomb in "about 12 days" a year and a half ago, there is no reason to assume they didn't. There is nothing in the behavior of the Biden White House that could have possibly deterred them. Just last month, the official White House estimate was 18 months (see How Close Is Iran to Getting Nuclear Weapons? New Info Alarms Intelligence Officials). //
Blinken, of course, tried to blame it all on the Trump administration for leaving the Obama-conceived Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action that guaranteed Iran a path to owning a bomb without troublesome sanctions by calling Iran out for cheating (Trump Says Iran Is Violating Nuclear Deal and the Left Goes Bonkers (VIDEO) and BREAKING. President Trump's Remarks on Leaving the Iran Nuclear Deal – RedState).
The real fault lies in a strategy based on nothing more than the hope that a terrorist state dedicated to the destruction of the United States could be convinced to forgo developing a nuclear weapon by bribing them.

The US should have taken care of this a year ago. There is a reason we have to be strong worldwide. When we clean up messes, nobody can do much about it. They may whine. They may call us bullies, but their governments pretty much all smile and wipe the sweat off their brow. They know that since the US did it, there won't be escalations.
With Israel and others having to do these things, it's the perfect excuse for others to escalate.
Anyone who doesn't get this is fooling themselves. It's why Biden's foreign policy is so dangerous. His weakness invites total war. A strong president would have bombed the Houthis out of existence by now -- well, at least their capability of harassing anyone. That would have ended that problem. Now, it's a much, much bigger problem. That's Biden's fault.
The story here is not that Max Boot is disgusting (he is) or that he was targeted for marriage (my speculation because Terry is definitely out of the league of women Boot was used to playing in) by Terry because his position at the Post gave her propaganda greater reach and her more Vuitton bags. The real story is how this happened. How long has the FBI known of Terry's side gig? Did anyone at the Washington Post have any curiosity or qualms about the op-eds he was co-writing with his wife? And when did Boot, the spy-catcher of Trump's first term, discover that his wife was a foreign agent of influence?
But now, according to the local news, Nicole Ford with WPXI, it is so much worse than just a couple of minutes — they spotted the shooter on the roof nearly a half hour before the shooting.
Channel 11′s Nicole Ford confirmed that Beaver County’s ESU team had eight members at the rally, including snipers and spotters. According to Ford’s sources, one of them noticed a suspicious man on a roof near the rally at 5:45 p.m., called it in and took a picture of the person. We have learned from our sources the person in that picture is Thomas Crooks. We’re told it’s not clear if Crooks had a gun with him at that point. //
It was 26 minutes, running from 5:45 p.m. to 6:11 p.m., which is when the shot hit Trump. //
Guess what that building was, the one that the shooter was on? It was a staging area for the local police involved in security for the event. Unbelievable.

Just think, one Pennsyl-tucky redneck on the roof of that building with a lawn chair and a case of Yuengling would have done more to protect Trump than the Secret Service.
11:50 AM · Jul 14, 2024. //
The issue of overwork is sort of baked in during campaign season. Other claims that Trump's security detail was pillaged to provide security for Jill Biden, that more resources were requested and denied, and that the counter-sniper detail was only assigned the day before the rally, if true, are the decision of Director Cheatle, or at least had her approval. The actions are also so petty that it is easy to believe that the White House, particularly "Dr. Jill," was behind them. //
It is very difficult to believe that Trump had "enhanced" security. On the other hand, the decision to add a counter-sniper team to security only 24 hours before the event does explain how the shooting happened. A shortage of personnel explains why the shooter's vantage point was "outside the security cordon," though not why local police did not guard it, //
In the end, it comes down to credibility. Siphoning off Trump's regular security detail to protect Dr. Jill goes a long way toward explaining the goat-rope we see as they are bundling Trump into the vehicle. The people leaking about what went on behind the scenes aren't making excuses; they are giving reasons.
Mayorkas has a very estranged relationship with the truth, and there is no reason to believe anything he said. The surest way to tell he was lying to Stephanopoulos was to watch his face. His lips were moving.
According to NBC News, the replacement campaign has lost steam not because Democrats think the president can seize a moment of unity, but because they think the race is now over.
Aftermath: There's Little Point in Replacing Joe Biden on the Dem Presidential Ticket Now – RedState
The effort to replace President Biden as the Democratic Party's 2024 nominee has lost all momentum and is essentially "over" following the assassination attempt against former President Trump, allies of the president say, according to a new report. //
As I wrote shortly after the event, this is the image that changed everything. This couldn't be more powerful if it had been deliberate, planned, and posed: Trump, bloodied but defiant, fist raised, calling out to the crowd. The American flag behind him, seemingly upside-down, which is a sign of a nation in distress. The Secret Service agents formed a wall of bodies around the former president to take a bullet for him if necessary. This, folks, is Pulitzer Prize-level photography. And this image, an image of defiance in the face of an attempted assassination, couldn't present a more stark contrast when set alongside tired, pale, befuddled old Joe Biden. //
They should concentrate on team-building, on finding candidates that have appeal beyond the urban cohorts, the coastal elites, and the radical left "progressives."
Maybe they could even take their party back to something Harry Truman would recognize. //

The bullseye comment is not just "one (bad night) comment' -- the problem is how Biden and the left have continually targeted Trump as the devil, Hitler, not worthy of respect or being treated like a normal opponent, dehumanizing him, calling him an existential "threat to democracy." //
