Look violent rhetoric is wrong, and has no place.
But MAGA pretending they didn’t light this fire is gaslighting to the 100th power. Since Trump showed up our politics has gone to crap.

Does any of the above read like anything other than derangement?
But understand, these people don't care about lowering the temperature or returning civility to politics. Their equivocations and deflections serve only their pursuit of power. If Trump being killed helps them, they are fine with that. I know that's a pointed, perhaps controversial thing to say, but why should I assume any differently given their own words? //

Don't forget NBC anchor, Lester Holt, who suggested the assassin was motivated by Trump's discussion of Haitian migrants in Springfield, Ohio despite the fact it was residents of Springfield, Ohio who began that discussion. It has been reported that a favorite Democratic talking point is posted on one of Routh's social media accounts - Democracy is on the ballot - and his son said his father hates Donald Trump "like every reasonable person does" but that he's not a violent person. Think about that for a minute. It is reasonable among Democratic voters to hate people they disagree with while blaming MAGA Republicans for political violence. Apparently, not being a violent person doesn't apply when that person has been encouraged by Democrats and the media to believe Donald Trump is a Hitler-like authoritarian who will throw his political opponents in concentration camps and must be kept out of the White House by any means possible. //

"But MAGA pretending they didn’t light this fire is gaslighting to the 100th power. Since Trump showed up our politics has gone to crap."
I was thinking about som recent conversations with otherwise intelligent anti-Trumpers and realized something. These fools think Trump is the cause of our political schism. It never occurs to them that his rise is just a symptom of our internal problems. And the truly frightening thing is, he is a relatively mild symptom of our internal divisions. If we don't address the reasons someone like Trump can rise in politics, anti-Trumpers might wistfully look back at him someday.

This is all the fault of the machine. So many people under 40 are brainwashed and confused and miserable. They have no morals, no spiritual leader, disconnected parents and no hope. They have been fed misery since they started kindergarten and their parents don’t go to church.
Lochel's Bakery in Hatboro, Pennsylvania, had some big news in their big cookie poll as of Friday morning.
Every four years, they hold a poll where people can buy red cookies or blue cookies--with the candidates' names on them and the election year--to indicate their choice for president. And the current count in the poll, based on how many have been bought for each candidate, is not looking good for Kamala Harris.
As of Friday morning, the shop has sold a whopping 5,200 Trump cookies vs. 500 Harris cookies. //
Lochel's correctly determined three of the four elections since 2012, The only one that didn't turn out was in 2020. Then they ultimately sold 31,804 Trump cookies vs. 5,750 Biden cookies before the election. That was six times as many, but they're ahead of that pace so far this time.
As Donald Trump and J.D. Vance try to win over swing voters, some pro-life leaders are busy dispiriting pro-life voters. //
Now, I am not going to imply that Lila Rose is a communist, as James Lindsay did. But to suggest that the Trump-Vance ticket does not “stand for pro-life principles,” and that pro-lifers should withhold their votes, as Lila did, is equally outrageous. In an interview with Politico published on Thursday, Lila Rose said she “would not vote for Harris or Trump” if the election were held today and said there are “other candidates” and even “write-in candidates.”
Such comments are a priceless gift to Kamala’s campaign. Expect interviews on CNN, MSNBC, and other regime media to follow as they use Rose to demonize Trump and demoralize pro-life voters into staying home on Election Day.
Everyone needs to remember that this is the pro-life president who spoke at the March for Life rally in Washington, D.C., had many pro-lifers in top positions, and pursued a host of pro-life policies at home and abroad. This is the pro-life president whose Supreme Court appointments overturned Roe v. Wade. The federal government is no longer forcing the states to allow mothers to murder their children, and 22 have partial or complete bans in place.
Finally, this is the once-and-future pro-life president who is all that stands in the way of Kamala Harris. If she gets into office, she will pack the Supreme Court with pro-abortion justices, Roe v. Wade will be brought back, and abortion on demand up to — and beyond — birth will be the law of the land for another two generations. //
the practical politics of the matter are plain: Anyone who is still attacking Trump this close to the election is dispiriting the base, giving quotes to the opposition, and — it must be said — making Kamala Harris’ election more likely.
Is that what Lila Rose — or any pro-lifer — wants? Does anyone (besides Kamala) want pro-life voters so demoralized that they will wash their hands of the whole nasty business of politics, declare a pox on both their houses, and stay home on election day? Because that is the political effect of her reckless words. //
Just to be clear, the Republican platform is still pro-life, as it has been since 1984, although it could be stronger. Donald Trump is still the most pro-life president since abortion became a national issue, although he could be more resolute.
We need to pray as hard as we can for Trump and Vance’s complete conversion on the life issue. And we must work as hard as we can to get the most pro-life president in my lifetime back in office.

Hawley said the pattern that was emerging from whistleblowers was that the rally that day was "undermanned, understaffed, they did not have people who had experience on it."
"The fact that the director will not level with the American people about what's going here is just totally unacceptable and unbelievable," Hawley declared. //
On top of what he said they were telling him from the internal Secret Service investigation, the DHS was telling them not to comply with document requests to Congress. That's incredibly problematic, and if that's true, anyone involved in that needs to be held accountable and further exposed. //
But it raises the question: What do they think those documents will reveal? And is that problem they don't want Congress to know about still continuing? Could it still expose Trump and other Secret Service protectees to further danger?
When one of the more senior Senate Democrats sounds the alarm bell regarding governmental failures, it says something — particularly if it involves former President Donald Trump (and I don't mean in a way that's critical of him). According to Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), the American people are going to be "shocked, appalled, astonished" when they see the interim report that lawmakers plan to release shortly regarding the July 13 assassination attempt on the former president. //
However, he did say that he believes there needs to be more accountability. "Without accountability, this kind of failure and lapse will happen again." //

Wow. If he's saying that, it means it's bad and there's no way for them to spin it. He's getting out in front of it so the stink doesn't land on him. That means it's the administration's fault which means it's the fault of Democrats.
So what would be the point? Does America really need another three-on-one slap-fest that shows us nothing new about either candidate? Trump has already debated twice. There's nothing else to learn about who he is or where he stands. On the other side, Harris isn't going to suddenly start giving details about her policies, and that would be the only possible value to be found in holding another debate. //

This is the right move. We now have three separate polls telling us the same thing: Harris won the debate and Trump won the election. Undecided voters went in hoping to find out more about Harris and what her plans were. When they did not get that, they decided to vote for Trump because they pretty much know what his policies will be and their lives were a lot better then than they are now.
It was her choice to spend her time painting Happy Talk word pictures and telling everybody how horrible Trump is... instead of telling anyone why she is going to be any different than the four years we just had. She didn't do what the voters wanted. I wouldn't give her a second chance. //

I think this is why the moderators never followed up or challenged Harris: she was given the questions, her team came up with slick answers, and she memorized them in order. If the moderators had deviated from the list it would have thrown her all out of whack, and they didn't want to trip her up.
The problem with all the mockery was that Trump's claim was true, as evidenced by an article from CNN of all places, that had been published the day before the debate, and which detailed Harris' answers to a 2019 ACLU questionnaire: https://assets.aclu.org/live/uploads/2024/08/Harris-ACLU-Candidate-Questionnaire.pdf //
To make matters worse, Free Beacon reporter Joe Gabriel Simonson added on Twitter that "In a subsequent exchange, Glasser’s editor said the New Yorker does not 'see a need to issue a correction.'"
said the decision to attempt to correct the candidates was in response to the June 27 CNN debate between Trump and President Biden, whose poor performance led to his exit from the race.
“People were concerned that statements were allowed to just hang and not [be] disputed by the candidate Biden, at the time, or the moderators,” Davis said.

I said the reason for how the moderators behaved in the ABC debate was simply because they were not going to let happen to Kamala Harris, what happened to Joe Biden and here she is admitting it

Davis as much as admitted she had been planning all along to enter the debate on Harris’s side and provide the rebuttal that she didn’t think Harris (like Biden) would be capable of making. Davis must consider Harris as dumb as Biden.
We wrote earlier about the story of Joe Biden going to Shanksville, Pennsylvania, to commemorate 9/11. That's the spot where Flight 93 went down when the passengers heroically tried to take back the plane. Biden visited with first responders and their families at the fire station.
Then came this funny report out of the exchange — that Biden somehow ended up with a Trump hat on his head.
Biden apparently offered one of the local men, a Trump supporter, a presidential hat. He then said he had to have the man's hat, the Trump hat. The frank exchange was hilarious.

there's a new debate hoax raging. It centers on Trump's comments about threatening "Abdul," who he cited as a Taliban leader he negotiated with in 2020. The mention sent the fingers of journalists everywhere scurrying on keyboards. Multiple major news outlets, including The Hill and Forbes, wrote mocking headlines and suggested it was "unclear" who Trump was referring to because he's just so darn stupid.
“I got involved. And Abdul is the head of the Taliban. He is still the head of the Taliban,” Trump said. “And I told Abdul, ‘Don’t do it anymore. You do it anymore, you’re going to have problems.’ And he said, ‘Why do you send me a picture of my house?’ I said, ‘You’re going to have to figure that out, Abdul.’ And for 18 months we had nobody killed.”
It’s not clear who Trump was referring to.
Hibatullah Akhundzada is the Taliban’s leader, having been in charge since 2016.
It wasn't unclear, though. I know that because if you read the very same articles I linked above, both go on to explain exactly who Trump was talking about.
Abdul Ghani Baradar is not an obscure figure. He is the co-founder of the Taliban and currently serves as the terrorist government's "prime minister." He was also the lead negotiator and head of policy during the 2020 negotiations. So who is dumber? Trump for citing "Abdul," or the know-nothing journalists who couldn't be bothered to use Google for two minutes? //

Muir was strong in his debate with Trump. Harris was a lousy moderator
Why would the debate moderators ask about Democrats inciting a would-be assassin when they can just keep recycling the lie that Trump incited a violent mob? //
Imagine refusing to ask the current vice president whether she regrets any of her hateful anti-Trump rhetoric and the Biden administration’s weaponization of the federal government against Trump that may have inspired an armed nutbag to fire at his head, but asking the former president whether he regrets “anything about what [he] did on” Jan. 6, 2021, even after he explicitly told his supporters to protest “peacefully and patriotically.” (Which David Muir lied about, by the way.) You don’t hate the media enough.
As Trump said at the debate, he “probably took a bullet to the head because of the things that they say about me. They talk about democracy. I’m a threat to democracy. They’re the threat to democracy.” Correct. And the moment Trump brought up that uncomfy assassination topic, Muir pivoted because, you know, the moderators “ha[d] a lot to get to.” //
If the debate did nothing else, it reminded us of their true colors. They aren’t biased. They don’t have a slant. ABC News and CNN and NBC and all the rest of the establishment media don’t “lean left.”
They are propagandists. They live and die for the regime. They are wholly and completely corrupt, a hostile force that exists to accrue power for Democrats.
Here are some of the biggest falsehoods Harris told during her debate with Trump.

Congressman Wesley Hunt Reveals Jaw-Dropping Trump Story
This is amazing.
In a tense meeting with Taliban leaders, Trump declared, “I want to leave Afghanistan, but it’s going to be a conditions-based withdrawal,” before issuing a stark warning.
“If you harm a hair on a single American, I’m going to kill you,” Trump said. The translator conveyed this exact message.
Trump then “reached in his pocket, pulled out a satellite photo of the leader of the Taliban’s home, handed it to him, got up and walked out the room.”

She spread every hoax about Trump that she could think of, starting with the lie that Trump had anything to do with Project 2025. //
But perhaps the two worst lies — and that was hard to pick because she told so many — were where she claimed police were killed on Jan. 6. and the "fine people" lie about Charlottesville. Both are provably false — the fine people lie has been debunked for years, is on video, and even the liberal Snopes has roundly debunked it. //

I think he lost but not badly. Kamala struggled at first and really seemed like she wanted to stamp her heels and throw a hissy when Trump got some zingers in early then the moderators tipped the scales. Once the game up on him Kamala relaxed and Trump allowed himself to he baited. After that he seemed angry in most of his responses until just about the very end when he started to recover. His closing was better than hers slightly, but was not seen by as many who tuned in earlier and likely tuned out midway. Just goes to show why "Anytime, anywhere" Kamala was afraid to debate him on fox. She can't do these things without emotional-support humans/moderators.

Trump said Harris went to negotiate with Russia and 3 days later they invaded Ukraine-
Harris said that wasn’t true - but that doesn’t mean it isn’t.
ABC asked Harris if she’d ever met Putin AND SHE DIDN’T ANSWER THE QUESTION. Starts talking about meeting Zelensky 5 times and then goes into some meaningless word salad.
And they just let her not answer. Didn’t pin her down at all as to whether this happened.
If - as Trump said- Harris was sent to negotiate with Russia and right after that they decide to invade Ukraine—- that’s important for people to know.
To see them not even clarify that point when they’d asked, iirc, repeated follow ups about January 6th, and whether Trump thought the election was stolen, was literally jaw dropping for me….and I didn’t think I had any illusions left about the MSM-
That‘s beyond just bias —- it’s covering for extreme incompetence —- it’s failing to even examine a candidate —
Anyway, the point I’m getting at is that I think the bias has gone so far-( to the point of outright irresponsiblity) that it will be off putting to more than just Republicans and will likely backfire on the Dems.
[Republican consultant and Fox News contributor Ari] Fleischer's advice for Trump is, "Hit her on policy. Just like you did to Biden in the first debate. That was a disciplined, tough, policy-oriented Donald Trump. I would love to see the same Donald Trump against Kamala Harris." //

Two ideas:
1) Tell how your policies will help people, and protect the environment, better than Harris' policies.
Example: Don't say inflation is bad because we want good economic numbers. Say inflation is bad because it hurts people.
Example: Don't say that you're against EV mandates because of cost or convenience. Instead, say that EVs can actually hurt the environment. It's hard to recycle EV batteries. Tires on EVs pollute the air with more fine particles than the tires on ICE vehicles, because EV batteries are so heavy. ( https://www.theatlantic.com/technology/archive/2023/07/electric-vehicles-tires-wearing-out-particulates/674750/ ) Etc.
2) When you say a Harris policy is bad, offer a better policy. Example: To cut pollution, do these things:
a) Put pressure on China to stop polluting the air so much.
b) Tell people how to keep their houses cool or warm by using simple, cheap insulation in their windows such as bubble wrap.
c) Encourage research in extinguishing wildfires better, so that they don't release a huge amount of smoke. ( https://redstate.com/wardclark/2024/08/29/canadas-carbon-footprint-is-massive-but-its-because-of-wildfires-n2178698 )
If you tell how your policies will help people and protect the environment, and if you tell how your policies are better than Harris', then people will be more likely to vote for you. //
