The Ferguson system refers to the three-point implement linkage you’ll find on all modern tractors, the brainchild of the Irish engineer Harry Ferguson. The film below the break is a marketing production for American farmers, and it features the Ford-built American version of the tractor known to Brits and Europeans as the Ferguson TE20.

As the four-wheeled machines grew in size and their implements moved beyond the size of their horse-drawn originals, they started to encounter a new set of problems which the film below demonstrates in detail. In short, a plough simply dragged by a tractor exerts a turning force on the machine, giving the front a tendency to lift and the rear a lack of traction. The farmers of the 1920s and 1930s attempted to counter this by loading their tractors with extra weights, at the expense of encumbering them and compromising their usefulness. Ferguson solved this problem by rigidly attaching the plough to the tractor through his three-point linkage while still allowing for flexibility in its height. The film demonstrates this in great detail, showing the hydraulic control and the feedback provided through a valve connected to the centre linkage spring.
Tuesday's speech at the UN was not aimed at the diplomats in the room or those watching remotely. It wasn't aimed at the leaders of governments. It really wasn't even aimed at the world. It was, in my opinion, aimed directly at populist movements gaining momentum in Northern and Eastern Europe. The goal was to put Trump and his successor at the helm of an international movement to "Make Western Civilization Great Again."
Let's take a look at the themes. //
There was no message to China, India, or the Third World. Instead, they were portrayed, accurately in my mind, as exploiting Europe's guilt to strip it of wealth and to dump excess, poorly educated, culturally unassimilable, and violent migrants on the working people of Europe.
In many ways, this was a Trump campaign speech aimed at a sort of international electorate composed of populist movements now hitting their stride in the UK, Netherlands, Germany, and other European countries. What the people in the room thought about it was totally irrelevant; in fact, their disapproval could have given the speech more power as it hit Europe.
The message was clear. Your leaders have sold you out. If you don't act, your countries will be swamped by foreigners who don't share your culture. Without a reliable energy supply and slamming the door on Third World migration, Europe, as we know it, will cease to exist. Trump framed the situation of national leadership that has allowed the situation to develop, serving as a warning call to populations who are inattentive and being taken advantage of.
All in all, it suggests that Trump's retreat from the EU and NATO is more a rebuke of national elites than a withdrawal from the theater. He offered an outstretched hand to people trying to save their country, showed them what it takes to make the move, and seemed to offer leadership.
In short, this wasn't Trump simply calling out the UN. This was Trump launching a narrative of the UN and national elites working together to impoverish, if not outright replace, the native population of Europe. Whether the Euro man-in-the-street responds and Trump can show the necessary leadership remains to be seen, but the speech was nothing less than a call to arms for Western Civilization.

“If this generation is going to come to understand Jesus Christ as proclaimed in Scripture, a lot of questions are going to have to be answered, and they need to have a safe place to ask those questions,” Rasmussen told The Federalist. “It takes a while to get through those questions, but that’s what discipleship is.”

A new round of sanctions seems sure to be imposed on Russia in the very near future; EU hammers Putin and charms Trump by targeting China, India in new Russia sanctions.
There is also the possibility that Russian aircraft in NATO airspace may be met with deadly force.
In 2015, Turkey reacted to a Russian violation of its airspace by shooting down a Russian strike fighter.
Even a wrong answer is right some of the time
AI models often produce false outputs, or "hallucinations." Now OpenAI has admitted they may result from fundamental mistakes it makes when training its models.
The admission came in a paper [PDF] published in early September, titled "Why Language Models Hallucinate," and penned by three OpenAI researchers and Santosh Vempala, a distinguished professor of computer science at Georgia Institute of Technology. It concludes that "the majority of mainstream evaluations reward hallucinatory behavior."
Language models are primarily evaluated using exams that penalize uncertainty
The fundamental problem is that AI models are trained to reward guesswork, rather than the correct answer. Guessing might produce a superficially suitable answer. Telling users your AI can't find an answer is less satisfying. //
"Over thousands of test questions, the guessing model ends up looking better on scoreboards than a careful model that admits uncertainty," OpenAI admitted in a blog post accompanying the release.
It sounds a lot like the Jurassic Park "Underwear Gnomes" technique of generic engineering:

Despite his proclivity for sparking controversy, Kirk’s real interest lies in changing his followers’ behavior. //
Kirk said he hopes his calls for young adults to lead a more meaningful life will actually result in them spending less time on social media. He has cautioned his young fans against becoming enamored by “deep-internet theories” taking the form of white supremacy, misogyny and antisemitism.
In recent Q&As Kirk has condemned those who “want to point and blame Jews for all their problems,” which he characterized as “hyper-online brain rot” that is becoming increasingly common, especially among “young white men.”
Kirk’s antidote is to channel young people’s frustration “toward the transcendent” instead of “tearing everything down.” More often than not transgressive conspiracies directly contradict scripture, according to Kirk.
In the face of “women-hating,” for example, Kirk reminds listeners that the New Testament teaches men to love their wife like Christ loved the church. Kirk is confident that much of the internet’s fringe rightwing commentary “can be easily debunked or dismissed.” But he feels a personal responsibility to provide a positive alternative.
“My job every single day is actively trying to stop a revolution,” Kirk said. “This is where you have to try to point them toward ultimate purposes and toward getting back to the church, getting back to faith, getting married, having children. That is the type of conservatism that I represent, and I’m trying to paint a picture of virtue, of lifting people up, not just staying angry.” //
However, Kirk has given his opponents plenty to react to, from calling Martin Luther King Jr. an awful person, to arguing that while ending segregation was good the Civil Rights Act was a mistake, to telling young women to prioritize starting a family over their careers and questioning whether certain Muslim elected officials are real Americans. //
Increasingly Kirk, who identifies as an evangelical Christian, has described his project in spiritual terms — using technology and talking-points to trigger a cultural Great Awakening. But the next American revival won’t happen on TikTok, and it won’t be spurred by political triumphs alone, Kirk says. It will show up in rising church attendance, marriage rates and childbirths.

Charlie Kirk ably represented this, and it is part of the reason why he was murdered. So, we must rise and be like Charlie. Wise people are recognizing this and acting accordingly. With groups like 764 and adversarial threats seemingly on every side, we need God's hand and God's help more than ever before.

The Center Square reported Friday that “in the wake of the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, thousands of social media posts appear to list politically conservative targets for assassination by the political left.” Some of the principal names that keep recurring on the left’s death wish lists are some of the most prominent critics of the transgender madness: Joe Rogan, JK Rowling, Ben Shapiro, and Matt Walsh, as well as President Donald Trump, Libs of TikTok’s Chaya Raichik, Elon Musk, and Andy Ngo.
JK Rowling pointed out what this bloodlust revealed about the left: “If you believe free speech is for you but not your political opponents, you're illiberal. If no contrary evidence could change your beliefs, you're a fundamentalist. If you believe the state should punish those with contrary views, you're a totalitarian. If you believe political opponents should be punished with violence or death, you're a terrorist.”
Indeed. And that is exactly what the left is today. “Inside every progressive is a totalitarian screaming to get out,” quipped the late, great David Horowitz, and by now, it’s abundantly clear that they’re out. Totalitarians don’t care to debate their opponents, and in particular on the transgender issue, leftists likely know that they would lose, and lose resoundingly, any such debate. And so they want those whom they fear and hate to be silenced, and silenced for good. In a group that hates God and His creation and wants to reshape it to their own liking, moral considerations simply don’t enter into the equation.
If, however, the leftists who posted these hit lists thought they would terrorize their targets into silence, they were in for a disappointment. Like Rowling, Shapiro was defiant, saying: “We will never stop debating and discussing. We will never stop standing up for what America is and what she should be. And we will never let Charlie’s voice die.” //
Indeed, they cannot and must not, but they are counting on patriots to have a collective failure of courage, and to give up their resistance and submit to their evil agenda rather than put their lives on the line. In fact, in the struggle for human freedom, it was ever thus. That’s why Tom Paine wrote back in 1776 that “these are the times that try men's souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands by it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph.”
That is also why the signers of the Declaration of Independence concluded that document with this: “And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.” Even then, like today, terror was the only tool that the forces of darkness had. In order for good to triumph over evil, men had to be willing to stand up to that terror and face it down.
And that is exactly what they did, because they knew that if they did not do so, the flame of liberty would be extinguished, and men would be condemned to slavery to tyranny, possibly for generations, until another generation arose that was willing to pledge their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor to preserve their freedom.
That was what at stake then, and that is what is at stake now.
