“The Justice Department has charged Yahya Sinwar and other senior leaders of Hamas for financing, directing, and overseeing a decades-long campaign to murder American citizens and endanger the national security of the United States,” said Attorney General Merrick B. Garland. “On October 7th, Hamas terrorists, led by these defendants, murdered nearly 1200 people, including over 40 Americans, and kidnapped hundreds of civilians. This weekend, we learned that Hamas murdered an additional six people they had kidnapped and held captive for nearly a year, including Hersh Goldberg-Polin, a 23 year old Israeli American. We are investigating Hersh’s murder, and each and every one of Hamas’ brutal murders of Americans, as an act of terrorism. The charges unsealed today are just one part of our effort to target every aspect of Hamas’ operations. These actions will not be our last.” //
Hamas raises money to fund its terrorist activities through a variety of methods, including by soliciting and receiving cryptocurrency payments, advertising the ostensible anonymity of such transactions. //
While that may be true, it leaves out a key detail that UNWRA, the UN refugee organization meant to help stabilize the area, became embedded with Hamas with even its staff perpetrating crimes on Oct. 7. The U.S. has been the largest contributor of UNWRA, giving it $7.3 billion since 1950. //

Political theater. The U.S. has no jurisdiction over what happens in Israel and Gaza.
It's more than just political theater!
Like the saying in the movie that "the Russians don't take a dump, son, without a plan", the Dems don't make a move like this without an ulterior motive.

If I were the suspicious type I'd think that this action was taken to preempt or provide leverage over Netanyahu to stop him from ending Sinwar's life...
They are trying to force Netanyahu to stop and turn it over to the US' court system. Then, if I had to guess, the plan, on the off-chance that they would be able to capture him or have him turn himself over to the US, would be to turn him over to be tried in... oh, I don't know, a federal court in Dearborn?
But... I'm not the suspicious type... nope, I'm not!
Thousands of pro-Hamas protesters marched in Manhattan on Monday to demonstrate against Israeli military action against terrorist group Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
Video footage circulating on social media shows the protesters walking through the street waving flags representing terrorist entities while shouting antisemitic slogans. This development comes amid ongoing demonstrations against the Jewish state for its effort to eliminate Hamas after it carried out a surprise attack on October 7, slaughtering civilians.
Israel did what it had to do if it didn’t want to see repeats of this almost inhuman perversion—it went on the offensive, declared war, and took on the dark forces of Hamas. Civilians have died in the process, and that’s a sad reality of most warfare, but remember that none of them would have died had Hamas not savagely murdered over 1,200 Israelis. Remember also that many of the civilian casualties in Gaza—notoriously overstated by the utterly mendacious Gaza Health Ministry—would be alive today if the terrorist group didn’t use them as human shields and hide their military operations in hospitals and schools.
And yet, did we see worldwide protests decrying the sick actions of Hamas? Did campuses in the United States erupt in outrage over the barbaric carnage inflicted upon innocent Israelis (and some Americans)? Did thousands congregate In Manhattan’s Union Square Park, as they did Monday, to demand that Hamas embrace peace, lay down their arms, and release the remaining hostages—at least, the ones who they hadn’t murdered in cold blood?
No.
Instead, what we’ve seen is an almost universal response against Israel and its Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. How dare they prosecute a war against the forces that assaulted them so viciously? //
What is Netanyahu supposed to do? As we reported, Hamas executed six hostages, including Israeli American Hersh Goldberg-Polin, on Saturday, just as IDF forces were closing in and coming to rescue them.
Even more disgustingly, the terror group took videos of their victims before killing them, and are now threatening to send them to the families to further torture their souls. //
What kind of agreement could possibly be reached with people like this? //

The Jews may as well have tried to strike a "deal" with Hitler. I don’t think there’s any question how that would have turned out! The thing that disgusts me is how many Israeli "Quislings" Netanyahu has to deal with, pressing him to make a deal at any price.
The price to return the hostages is the survival of Hamas. That price will cost the future deaths of untold Israeli. It must not be paid. Hamas has publicly stated they intend to repeat the atrocities of 10/7 again and again until Israel is destroyed. To their credit, some of the hostage families realize that Hamas is an existential threat to Israel and despite their grief, stand with Netanyahu. Perhaps not intentionally, but the "Bring Them Home" (at any price) crowd are acting as Hamas collaborators.🤦♂️

Various Jewish "councils" in cities in Poland and other countries (including Germany) actually tried negotiating with the SS local leadership. They turned over lists of Jews, encouraged Jews to submit to whatever demands from the SS, arranged for "governing" Ghettos and eventually did nothing more than make the SS "job" to get the Jews to the camps easier and give their people the illusion of survival for a little longer. //

The question isn't "how" but "why". Why would one negotiate with evil?
I have to believe that so many Christians and Jews choose to believe they can negotiate with the Muslims because the other alternatives, subjugation or war, are simply inconceivable. Far too many of these kind-hearted empty heads want so badly to believe that the barbaric descendants of a thieving, murdering, pedophile want the same things in the same manner as those of the West.
They are wrong.
We share almost nothing in common. Nothing. What little we may share is skewed by their religion and worldview. We also have no need of negotiating with them. Were it not for oil they'd yet be riding camels and slitting each other's throats in the desert.
Well, we can't negotiate and I won't be subjugated. That doesn't leave many options. So be it.

I don't get it either Bob. Clearly a significant portion of our population has given itself over to evil. Absolutely shocking to see people supporting a completely dedicated to evil terrorist organization.
These are the same people who demand unlimited abortion up to the moment of birth. The same people who want to groom children in elementary schools in deviant sexual lifestyles. Who want pornography in their small children's classrooms. These are the same people who push transgenders and men in women's sports. These same people support open borders. They support defunding the police and no cash bail.
I don't know how we reached such a place in America, but I suspect it has a lot to do with rejection of Christianity and Christian principles. Our education system has been weaponized against Christian principles and our wonderful western heritage is despised.
These are today's Democrats. To save America, they must be defeated.

Thousands met up at Union Square in Manhattan and marched to Washington Square Park.
They had flares and smoke bombs as some assaulted cops who tried to halt the march.
They also carried Hezbollah, Iranian, Palestinian, and Syrian flags. I’m shocked no one brought a Hamas or ISIS flag.
He went on to remind the world that the Hamas murderers executed the hostages in the midst of negotiation talks, and pressure needs to be put on them, not Israel:
"These murderers executed 6 of our hostages. They shot them in the back of the head. That's what's changed. And now after this, we're asked to show seriousness. We're asked to make concessions. What message does this send Hamas? It says, kill more hostages, murder more hostages. You'll get more concessions. The pressure internationally must be directed at these killers, at Hamas, not at Israel. We say yes. They say no all the time, but they also murdered these people. And now we need maximum pressure on Hamas."
The barbarians known as Hamas are not only killing hostages, but they are now taunting the families of those hostages by releasing videos of the slain taken prior to their deaths. The terror organization is also promising more to come.
Israel recently went into Rafah and recovered the bodies of several hostages. If you'll recall, the Democrats were furious that Israel was planning to launch strikes into the region. As it turns out, Israel was right to focus on the area and the Democrats were wrong to push the Biden administration to withhold armaments.
Biden's response to the situation has been nothing short of incompetent, demanding that Benjamin Netanyahu do more to get to an agreement with Hamas.
But demanding Israel cut a deal with Hamas only rewards Hamas for its behavior, as Netanyahu rightly noted.

I had completely forgotten about the “I’ve studied the maps” line from Kamala Harris demanding Israel not go into Rafah - which is where these latest murdered hostages were found.
She has been dangerously wrong about every aspect of this conflict.

"What the Biden-Harris administration should have done from the beginning is not pressure Israel to restrain its response, but let Israel win from the very outset," Cotton said, saying Biden and Harris put more pressure on Israel than on Hamas, Iran, or the other Iranian proxies. They've tried to hamstring them at every turn. A lot of the problem is that Hamas has known they can keep holding out because of such actions and comments by the Biden-Harris team. You can't keep handing them leverage and hope like that. But that's what Biden and Harris did.

Even now, their first response to the murders isn't "we need to wipe out Hamas," it's that we have to "focus on a deal." So Hamas knows they can ask for anything at this point and probably get it, at least from Biden and Harris.

Israel on early morning Sunday launched pre-emptive airstrikes against Hezbollah terrorist group after detecting imminent missile and rocket attacks from Lebanon.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) “identified the Hezbollah terrorist organization preparing to fire missiles and rockets toward Israeli territory. In response to these threats, the IDF is striking terror targets in Lebanon,” the military said in a press release early morning.
Around 100 Israeli fighter jets took part in the defensive strike, taking out thousands of Hezbollah rockets launchers. “In all, thousands of Hezbollah rocket launchers were struck simultaneously by some 100 IAF fighter jets in the preemptive attacks,” The Times of Israel reported.
Hezbollah appears to have launched a large-scale attack on Israel, firing hundreds of rockets during the early morning hours. The Israeli TV channel i24NEWS talked of a “[w]idespread Hezbollah assault launched against northern Israel.”
Pelosi continued to say that Israel has a right to defend itself, leading the protesters to shout even louder. As she argued in favor of a two-state solution to the Israel-Palestinian conflict, many of the protesters further lost their minds.
We have had a commitment to Israel. It’s been in our security interest to do so. Israel was attacked by a terrorist organization. We want the hostages freed. But we don’t want children killed in Gaza. And so we have to come up with a solution. //

Israel lured out an elusive Hezbollah commander with a mysterious phone call moments before launching the deadly airstrike that would kill him and cause the terror group to vow revenge, according to a new report.
Fuad Shukr, who had evaded even the US for four decades, was killed on July 30 when he received a phone call in the southern Beirut neighborhood of Dahiyeh, a Hezbollah official told the Wall Street Journal.
The evening call instructed the Hezbollah commander to go up to the seventh floor of his building, with an Israel missile slamming into the complex at around 7 p.m., killing him, his family and injuring 70 others, according to Lebanon’s health ministry. //
It would be interesting to know just what was said to Fuad Shukr in that phone call: "We'd like to talk to you about your car's extended warranty. Would you mind just stepping up to the seventh floor so we may send you a renewal package? Yes, just stand by that window on the southwest corner." Whatever the message was, Shukr listened, resulting in the worst and shortest day of his life. //

Yes, but it's weird, they complain when their life long desire is met.
I ran into a friend, actor, and politician, Siaka Massaquoi, who looked fresh as a daisy. “Jeez,” I said to him. “This is brutal.”
“Yeah,” he replied with a smile. “I’ve been here since 3:30 am.”
What in the world? That was two hours before we arrived.
Turns out Siaka is on a “list.” He entered the Capitol on January 6, 2021, but has not been charged with anything. His apartment was raided by over 20 armed FBI agents on June 10, 2021, and he’s been under investigation ever since for “associating with members of a social media group.” //
As I keep repeating, he has not been charged or convicted of anything – isn’t this exactly what the Fifth Amendment was designed to prevent? Namely that you can’t be punished without due process? Where’s the due process here?

According to a new report, Biden was "emotional" and began yelling as he insisted that Netanyahu somehow secure a ceasefire with a terrorist government that keeps rejecting every ceasefire proposal. //
If you're good at math, you've probably already realized that "a week to two weeks" just so happens to be days before the Democratic National Convention is set to take place. Why does that matter? Because for the better part of a year, the expectation has been that left-wing Hamas supporters will protest and commit acts of violence at the event. //
In other words, the President of the United States is demanding an American ally surrender to terrorists for political gain. That's a wild development that would be a bona fide scandal if it involved a Republican. //
As to the current threat from Iran, Biden went so far as to tell Netanyahu the United States will not help Israel defeat an attack if another "escalation" occurs. Keep in mind that the prior "escalation" was the killing of Hamas' top political leader and a wanted Hezbollah terrorist who had an American-placed bounty on his head. Apparently, that was unacceptable to the president. //

So Brandon is using the threat of withholding support in exchange for something that benefits him politically? Gee where have I heard that before?
Ismail Haniyeh, a top leader of Hamas, was assassinated on Wednesday by an explosive device covertly smuggled into the Tehran guesthouse where he was staying, according to seven Middle Eastern officials, including two Iranians, and an American official.
The bomb had been hidden approximately two months ago in the guesthouse, according to five of the Middle Eastern officials. The guesthouse is run and protected by the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps and is part of a large compound, known as Neshat, in an upscale neighborhood of northern Tehran.
Mr. Haniyeh was in Iran’s capital for the presidential inauguration. The bomb was detonated remotely, the five officials said, once it was confirmed that he was inside his room at the guesthouse. The blast also killed a bodyguard. //
Such a breach, three Iranian officials said, was a catastrophic failure of intelligence and security for Iran and a tremendous embarrassment for the Guards, which uses the compound for retreats, secret meetings and housing prominent guests like Mr. Haniyeh. //

Bomb Smuggled Into Tehran Guesthouse Months Ago Killed Hamas Leader
9:39 AM · Aug 1, 2024
On Thursday, we learned that Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, who has been living in luxury in Qatar, was taken out by an explosive device placed in a guest house room in Tehran months ago and remotely detonated. Haniyeh was in Iran for the swearing-in of Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian, which was scheduled for Tuesday. Haniyeh's pronouns have now been permanently changed to "was" and "were." //
Three Iranian officials separately told The New York Times that the security breach that allowed the explosive device to find its way into the compound where Haniyeh was residing – which is used by the Guards for secret meetings and housing prominent guests – is a massive embarrassment to the military agency. //
No matter who planted this device, it's an effective little piece of retribution for Oct 7th. And you know what the thing is about revenge? It's patient.
Joe Biden's Defense Department approved a plea deal Wednesday for three of the conspirators behind the attacks of September 11, 2001. Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the mastermind of the 9/11 attacks, and Walid Bin Attash and Mustafa al-Hawsawi will enter pleas before the military commission at Guantanamo Bay next week. //
The Pentagon announcement Wednesday didn’t include details, but a person familiar with the deal said that it involved a life sentence in exchange for a guilty plea. Prosecutors had been seeking the death penalty, but the torture of the defendants while in Central Intelligence Agency custody had clouded proceedings for years. //
President Biden learned of the plea bargain Wednesday, a National Security Council spokesman said.
“The president and the White House played no role in this process. The president has directed his team to consult as appropriate with officials and lawyers at the Department of Defense on this matter,” the spokesman said. //
The only reason we are going through this is because of a direct usurpation of congressional power by a crazed Anthony Kennedy and four fellow travelers. The Military Commissions Act of 2006 specifically placed review of the act outside the purview of the Supreme Court as allowed by Article III, Section 2, Clause 2 of the US Constitution: "with such Exceptions, and under such Regulations as the Congress shall make." The actions of the Supreme Court in Boumediene v. Bush should have resulted in Bush telling Kennedy to take a long walk on a short pier, and impeachment proceedings should have been brought against every federal judge who agreed to touch the case. But, alas, that would have required courage.
So, the final curtain is coming down on 9/11 and the Global War on Terror. Thanks to the Defense Department's total lack of transparency, it looks like that curtain will go down with as much controversy as when it came up.
The IRGC report claims that Haniyeh's residence was targeted and his bodyguard was killed as well. And, as the New York Times observes, a targeted killing like this in Tehran "raises questions about the safety of Iran’s top leaders who were in close contact with Mr. Haniyeh just hours before his assassination." //

I'd say it's a good bet that Mossad deliberately waited until this guy was in Iran rather than nailing him in Qatar. Iran will loudly huff and puff and make more of the usual threats against Israel, but privately Iran's leaders have to be sh!tting their drawers.
The Israel Defense Forces confirmed Tuesday that their airstrikes in Lebanon eliminated Fuad Shukr, the Hezbollah commander who ordered a drone attack on a soccer field in the Israel-controlled Golan Heights that killed 12 victims, mostly children.
The deceased terrorist also had a connection to the horrific 1983 bombing that killed 241 of our military personnel:
