Padilla and the dying media also keep saying he identified himself as a senator — don’t you know who he is? — so there was no reason to deem him a threat. This is also nonsense. You don’t identify yourself while in the middle of shoving your way toward a high-ranking government official, or anyone else for that matter.
And it’s absurd to assume that any of the security personnel would have recognized Padilla. He’s hardly a rock star, and it’s not their job to know what every member of Congress who decides to pop off in public looks like. True, he shouted that he’s a senator. So what? The public parks of L.A. are crawling with people who think they’re royalty.
The dying media want to portray Padilla like a victim of abuse because it feeds into their manufactured narrative that the Trump administration is hurting innocent people, even U.S. senators, in the process of enforcing immigration law. (As an update to the stupid incident, The New York Times ran the headline “Padilla’s scuffle stirs painful memories of a childhood spent proving his worth.”) It’s another lie.
All indications are that the Democrat Party is in big trouble.
Let’s look back at American political history. This country has had a tradition of having two broad and ideologically fluid coalition parties that contest with each other across the nation. Over our history, two of these American parties have disappeared from existence – the Federalists and the Whigs.
How and why did this happen?
“Immigrant voters, foreign-born voters, have gone tremendously to the right on this issue in 2024 and 2025 versus where they were in 2020,” CNN's Harry Enten explained. Back in 2020, Democrats enjoyed a comfortable 32-point lead among immigrant voters on the issue of immigration. But those days are gone. According to Enten, there has been “a 40-point shift to the right among immigrant voters,” and Republicans now lead Democrats by eight points on the issue, more than with any other demographic group.
This isn’t a marginal shift; it’s a political earthquake. And it’s not just about party preference; it’s also about attitudes toward Donald Trump himself.
Long dismissed as radioactive to immigrant voters, Trump is now seeing a surge in support that few thought possible. In 2016, he pulled 36% of the immigrant citizen vote. That ticked up to 39% in 2020. But in 2024, he’s jumped to 47% — and in some polls, he’s either tied or outright leading among immigrant voters. It’s a stunning political reversal that shatters the old assumptions.
That political shift mirrors a broader transformation in how immigrant citizens perceive illegal immigration. Back in 2020, illegal immigrants enjoyed a net favorable rating of +23 points among immigrant voters. By 2024, that number had plunged to -6. This dramatic drop completely undercuts the left’s go-to narrative that immigrant communities automatically align in solidarity with those here illegally.
When the feds served a criminal warrant on a business in L.A.'s garment district, however, they weren't there to arrest illegal aliens; they were after a business owner who allegedly hadn't paid millions of dollars in taxes and tariffs and was part of an investigation into possible drug cartel activity.
Border Czar Tom Homan told L.A. radio host John Kobylt that the bust was over a "criminal conspiracy investigation involving money laundering, tax evasion, and customs fraud where one of the companies didn't declare over $80 million in criminal imports and failed to pay $17 million in taxes and tariffs." He told the KFI host that, "It was a criminal investigation and while we served a criminal warrant, we arrested about 40 illegal aliens." //
The U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California, Bill Essayli, told Kobylt that because they had a criminal warrant to search the premises, they're allowed to question and detain everyone. And they did. //
If what the feds say is true, then Gov. Gavin Newsom, Mayor Karen Bass, and the entire leftist industrial complex, which is supported by U.S. tax dollars, as I reported in Who's Paying for the Violent L.A. Protests Against ICE? You Are, are supporting riots while castigating the feds going after the illegal drug cartels.
The idea behind this color revolution – it is organized and planned, not spontaneous or genuine – is to intimidate normal people into submitting and embracing the politicians associated with its goals in the hopes that it will stop. This is the work of the Democrat Party; the rioters are its useful idiots, acting to support the party’s goals while its maintaining deniability. But this scheme only succeeds if the target is feckless and weak, which such targets usually are. Trump isn’t. He’s going to win this because he understands this fight better than his enemies. The chaos is an illusion; his strength is reality.
Remember, this is not a kinetic operation. A kinetic operation achieves its goal by the violence itself. Kinetic operations destroy enemy personnel, reduce enemy combat power, or conquer territory through physical destruction. But this is an information operation. It accomplishes its mission by influencing the population. The violence itself is not an end, but a means; the goal is to compel people to submit by convincing them to accept the narrative.
And the narrative here is that Los Angeles is in complete chaos as a result of Donald Trump attempting to enforce federal law, so to stop the violence, Donald Trump must be compelled to cease enforcing federal law. This, of course, would be a devastating neutering of Trump while strengthening the Democrats. They want to make Trump look weak and convince America to submit to their intimidation. But this plot only works if we accept the illusion they are presenting.
Remember, it’s an information operation. None of what you see on the regime media is real. Oh, they are burning a few cars and screaming and yelling and running around waving flags of garbage countries, but what does any of that actually do? Nothing. They can’t make anyone do anything. They are not eliminating any federal law-enforcement capabilities. They are not significantly hindering federal law enforcement operations. They are not holding significant territory over time. They’re simply acting out in front of the cameras to try to convince you that Trump is powerless. //
The impact on the daily life of 99% of people in Los Angeles is exactly zero. There are approximately 20 million people here. Maybe 5,000 have anything to do with this nonsense.
Again, it’s all an illusion designed to frighten and confuse you. That’s what an information operation does. It creates a narrative in people’s brains to achieve an effect it can’t achieve by force. These mobs don’t have the capacity to do much of anything except block some freeways and set a few cars on fire. If the cops and the Guard decided to get kinetic, they’d be wiped out faster than they could chant, “No justice, no arrrggggghhhh.”. //
Trump is handling this just right. The battle isn’t on the streets of Los Angeles. The battle is in the hearts and minds of normal Americans. When normal Americans see burning and looting by degenerates, they are naturally frightened and appalled. What the leftists want to do, what the purpose of their information operation is, is to convince normal people that they have no choice but to submit because no one can protect them. Trump breaks that paradigm by providing an alternative – he will protect them, and therefore normal citizens don’t have to submit to the intimidation. All you need is someone willing to stand up to these dirtbags and it completely disrupts their info op.

Margaret, I don’t really care.
That sums up my feelings about Tapper suddenly tacking slightly to the right while trying to sale his book.
Democrats demonstrated their inability to connect with middle America when the DNC elected their slate of officers. It started with this tossed salad of words:
“Our rules specify that when we have a non-binary candidate or officer, the non-binary individual is counted as neither male nor female, and the remaining six offices must be gender balanced with the results of the previous four elections.”
Sure, the words are simple, but the meaning? It’s nonsense. //
In a recent interview Jake Tapper noted that the Democratic party isn’t connecting with his 15-year-old son – noting that his son plays linebacker on his high school football team. Tapper’s son isn’t an outlier. He’s likely what “middle-America” would call a “dude”. The DNC would refer to him as a cis-gendered privileged patriarchal white male. //
The 1982 movie “The Verdict” didn’t cause or motivate me to become a lawyer, but 10 seconds of dialogue stayed with me when I started litigating. The takeaway was: speak English. Plain English. //
The doctor is asked to explain what happened to the woman:
Ed Concannon: Why wasn't she getting oxygen?
Dr. Towler: Well, many reasons, really...
Ed Concannon: Tell me one.
Dr. Towler: She'd aspirated vomitus into her mask.
Ed Concannon: She threw up in her mask. Now cut the bullshit, please. Just say it: She threw up in her mask. //
Of course there is the caveat that assumes Republicans won’t step on rakes but as long as Democrats continue to aspirate lexiconic vomitus into and at middle America, Democrats will continue to lose elections. //

yeah, it's more than "out of touch" - that's a symptom. They can't "just stop".
The left hates America, especially middle America. They want to transform the country into a socialist paradise where they RULE.
They can't stop because having control over us and being scolds and cancel culture and Woke conformity codes is their reason for being in politics - not "service".
They just forgot how to hide it. //

If America is like the human body and the people are the cells then the left is cancer.
If cancer asks, "how can we spread more, be more widely accepted and grow?" the answer is - you can't. You'll kill the body.
Same with leftism.

First, let's note that Abrego Garcia is not a constituent. Last time I checked, El Salvador is not a part of Maryland. Abrego Garcia is not a voter or a citizen in Ivey's district in Maryland.
Second, what a strange thing it is to advocate not only on behalf of someone who was an illegal alien and an alleged MS-13 member, but on behalf of a foreign national. Why should El Salvador listen to you about how they deal with their citizen? You're trying to dictate to them and throwing a fit? They might have to grant access to the lawyer, but why should they care about a member of a foreign Congress?
Third, Ivey is supposed to represent his actual constituents, the citizens of his district.

If Democrats fought as hard for working class Americans as they fight for illegal aliens, criminals and terrorists, they wouldn't have to cheat in order to win elections.
Governing magazine found that in the 2021-2022 election cycle, “the biggest public-sector unions spent more than $700 million on election-related activity,” including $160 million from union political action committees. Most union members and all their public-sector leaders are Democrats, and not surprisingly, 96 percent of their funding went to Democratic politics, while the data show that Republican political entities received almost nothing.
Federal government public sector unions, by themselves, are a substantial force. Open Secrets magazine showed that dues mostly paid from U.S. national government salaries (some unions have state members also) constituted half or more of total public sector union political contributions. Again, Democrats received almost all of the funds, while Republican and conservative groups received little or even zero contributions. //
The National Treasury Employees Union and its ilk is one of the major ways the Deep State has remained entrenched, wrapping itself in red tape and restrictions that made it next to impossible for its employees to be removed. Trump's executive order has leveled that barrier and now an appeals court has affirmed his authority to be... well, a president. We elect presidents to protect the national interest, and part of that role is to deem who and what falls under the purview of national security, as well as who he tasks to enact and protect those interests.
"Democrats are learning … that Democrats can not only be the party of resistance."
"Like we resisted so hard between 2017 and 2024," Smith said. "We impeached the guy [Trump]. Like, we prosecuted him. Convicted him of 34 felony counts. And guess what, he still got elected. I don't know how much harder we can resist right now." //

I can't believe it. They finally admitted it on live TV:
The prosecution of President Trump was an organized effort by the Democratic Party "resistance."
Lawfare is real. The justice system was weaponized against President Trump.
5:39 PM · May 15, 2025 //
"Just to be clear, everyone that now touts the 34 felonies, take it from Lis, this was not a real case," Jennings said. "This was a plot to upend the presidential campaign. Which backfired." //

The Trump Soviet Union show trial in NY City is a Rube Goldberg legal construction that should not have worked. The original alleged crime is a simple misdemeanor under a New York law against falsifying business records. This law passed the Statute of Limitations over five years ago. The NY DA’s office looked at this case at that time and passed on it. Then Trump announced his candidacy to run for president and everything changed.
To defibrillate the case against Trump they claimed that misdemeanor, Penal Law Section 175.05, was connected to an alleged election violation felony. This secondary statues the prosecutors cite, state and federal election crimes, cannot and were not proven. The state law had also passed its statute of limitation years ago. Federal law can’t be tried in a state court. The FEC looked at this case and laughed at it.
The only way this trial against Trump could have worked was using “lawfare" for Democrats: Selecting a jury of anti-Trump partisans. Using known liars and perjurers to support the charges. Keeping Brady evidence from the jury, don’t want anyone to get a conscience. And a DNC judge with his thumb on the scales that made multiple reversible errors during the trial and violating Trumps 6th Amendment rights. We learned that Trump was going to be found guilty BEFORE the jury came back. Democrats applied the same legal philosophy of Lavrentiy Pavlovich Beria, head of the NKVD under Stalin "Show me the man and I will find the crime."
And as we mentioned and have mentioned in the past, some of them who have a much more reliable history—such as the Rasmussen poll, the Insider Advantage poll, the Trafalgar poll—they all had Donald Trump, at the end of 100 days, with either roughly 50-50 approval ratings or even slightly above that, 48-46, 50-49.
But my point is, in one of the daily Rasmussen polls, they had an astonishing figure, that they broke down Donald Trump’s support by ethnic category.
And there were 39% of black Americans that expressed support for Donald Trump. That’s an astonishing number. Given that 95% of the news coverage, according to the Media Research Center, has been negative. And yet here is a traditional Democratic constituency where 4 out of 10 people like what’s been going on.
But even more astonishing is the ethnic constituency that expressed the highest approval of Donald Trump’s first 100 days was the Hispanic community. In fact, far above the so-called white community.
How can that be possible? The Democratic Party had told us that closing the border and stopping the illegal entry of 10 to 12 million illegal aliens during the Biden administration—that was deeply unpopular to the Hispanic community. //
What I’m getting at is that a group of elites in the Biden administration, for particular political purposes—and I’ll be frank here—I think they did want people to come in, both to serve as future constituents under the lax rules and protocols of early and mail-in voting, and also to grow the government and have more constituencies on welfare. //
And why would so-called white people poll much more negatively against Trump’s first 100 days than Hispanics? It’s because the white elite had created an agenda under the Biden and Obama administration that was elitist.
By that I mean—let’s face it—Sen. Bernie Sanders had to take out the word “millionaires” from his usual castigation of millionaires and billionaires. And it wasn’t just because he’s a millionaire now. That is the trademark of the professional bicoastal classes. And they’re interested in issues that are not existential—at least not everyday existential. By that I mean global warming, the Green New Deal, transgendered men in women’s sports, international organizations—the U.N.
But they’re not interested in what the Hispanic working classes are interested in. And that’s affordable gasoline, affordable power bills, good-paying jobs, schools that allow their children to be competitively educated, safety in their neighborhoods.
And the idea that they should have some natural antipathy for illegal aliens just because they share the same language and maybe ethnic background—they don’t. They’re just like anybody else that’s trying to make a living and has been ignored and shunned by the grandees of the Democratic Party.

🚨 DECIPHERING NED DROP 1️⃣: WHAT IS? "DEMOCRATIC BACKSLIDING" 🗳️
The National Endowment for Democracy (NED) is a U.S. taxpayer-funded NGO with active members of Congress on its board. While it presents itself as a promoter of democracy, in practice it has long served as a front for the CIA, carrying out foreign influence operations that would be politically or legally unacceptable if done directly by U.S. intelligence.
As I've documented extensively in threads and on Substack, NED also works closely with George Soros's network of NGOs and has largely adopted his ideological agenda, especially overseas.
They publish an academic journal, NED Journal of Democracy, which is extremely revealing.

🔥 Think about what this really means.
NED is openly arguing that to "protect democracy," we must override democratic elections, weaken voter power, and use unelected institutions to block political outcomes they don't like.
They are publishing articles on:
🔹Whether to end voting rights for populists,
🔹How to ban anti-establishment parties, and
🔹How to channel foreign money into media and NGOs that manipulate the political process.
These strategies are being funded and implemented globally on your tax dollars, and it is also happening right here in the United States.
Members of Congress sit on NED's board. This is how our political class thinks.
Let it sink in: They do not want you to choose your leaders. And when you vote the "wrong" way, they call it backsliding, and look for ways to stop it.
In short, they despise you. And if you despise them back, you are the threat to democracy. 🧨
This ends Drop 1️⃣, but more to come. 🧵end
But what's truly funny about this effort is that they claim this is a "conversation" and they want people to join them.
Then maybe you shouldn't disable the comments and chat on YouTube. That prevents people from commenting on what they think of this silly exercise. It shows you don't want to hear what people think, and you know the reaction isn't going to be positive. //
Even as they attack President Trump and the Republicans, they show just how different they are. Trump takes all kinds of questions, even from hostile media. He's not afraid of that — he will fire right back at them. That's fighting, that's sticking up for principle.
This is just posturing, and all they're getting is a few of their own Democrats to join them. //

That's just performative loitering.
On Thursday, a new poll released by the Napoleon Institute confirms what most of us have long suspected. Results showed that 76 percent of bureaucrats who voted for Kamala Harris in November said they would “do what [they] thought was best,” in regards to following legal orders from President Trump. Of those polled, 16 percent said they would follow orders, and nine percent said they were unsure. Of the federal employees who voted for Trump, 80 percent said they would follow orders even if they disagreed with them, 18 percent said they would not, and just two percent said they were unsure. https://dailycaller.com/2025/04/24/democrat-voting-federal-bureaucrats-trump-orders-poll/
The question asked in the poll of federal employees was framed like this: "Imagine that you were the head of a federal government agency," and "President Trump gave you an order that was legal but you believed was bad policy." "Would you follow the President's order or do what you thought was best?" Over half, 56 percent, said that they would embrace their own political agendas and either "strongly resist" or "somewhat resist" Trump's America First agenda, with 16 percent saying they would “neither support nor resist." The poll surveyed 500 bureaucrats “living in the National Capitol Region and earning at least $75,000 annually," with a margin of error of four percent. //
Founder of the Napoleon Institute, pollster Scott Rasmussen, had this to say about the survey results.
"Our research confirms that the Administrative State is not composed of thoughtful, nonpartisan experts who are making neutral decisions for voters. The deep partisan divide within the federal bureaucracy and the shifting public opinion present significant challenges for the current administration. However, the silver lining is that with such high levels of chaos in this bureaucratic 'civil war', there may be an opening for the common sense voice of the American people to rise above the political noise and once again become the shaping force of the nation's dialogue."

🧵🧵This thread shows how $4 Trillion in Federal Funds Were Funneled Through Leftist NGOs to Enrich Activists, Mobilize Voters, and Power Anti-Trump Protests—With Receipts
This is maybe the most important thread I have ever done. It explains how the two biggest pieces of legislation from the Biden administration filled the coffers of all of these activist groups that have been engaging in the Trump 2.0 resistance. From GOTV efforts, to Anti-Tesla protests to the legal battles against Trump.
The Center for American Progress (CAP), founded by Clinton ally John Podesta, is more than a think tank—it’s the strategic command center for the modern Left. Under Biden, CAP helped orchestrate the biggest activist cash grab in U.S. history: $4 TRILLION.

Let’s be clear: these aren’t apolitical charities.
•Indivisible was built to oppose Trump.
•Sunrise led sit-ins to demand Biden go further left.
•Faith in Action and EDF advocate openly for progressive legislation.
And they’re all funded by your tax dollars—thanks to Podesta’s CAP and their policy-to-grant pipeline. This is government-funded activism, hidden behind a green mask.

If Democrats wish to travel to El Salvador and meet with a foreign illegal MS-13 gang member, they can spend their own money to do so.
I will not approve a single dime of Oversight Committee taxpayer funds for use on the excursion Democrats have requested. //

No, no, I want a couple dozen of them to go. And take some Dem senators with them. While they're gone, bring every item on the GOP wish list to the floor and pass it.
President Joe Biden brought at least 8 million illegal immigrants into the United States through an assortment of semi-legal programs.
Now, President Donald Trump is seeking to do the will of the American people by deporting them, but the Democrats’ tooth-and-nail legal fight against him shows that keeping them in the country forever was always their plan. //
If the full array of amnesty hearings and appeals were to be given to all the millions of illegal immigrants Biden ushered in, it would take not decades but centuries to clear the backlog of cases.
Biden’s aides knew this when they opened the floodgates, and they knew it when they brought suit against Texas for securing its part of the US-Mexico border.
They knew this when they abolished “Remain in Mexico” and told millions of people to simply hang out until their court dates came up — or until the administration did away with their court dates altogether, leaving them as de facto permanent residents.
Polling shows that mass deportation is what the voters want. They propelled Trump into office to fulfill this promise, just as they did in 2016 before the Democrats made the border a mess again. //
The party’s plan is now laid bare: Bring in millions of people, let them work illegally, increase blue-state congressional power, draw on state and federal benefits, and expand government reach — all to prop up the lifestyle of the laptop class.
Meanwhile, keep the American working class hooked on cheap imported goods, fighting with undocumented workers for housing, health care, and jobs.
They’ve said it outright and repeatedly — proof that the “humanitarian concerns” they profess for illegal immigrants are hollow. //
Democrats took advantage of America’s legal system. Republicans must use every tool to right their wrongs.
Keep a close eye on the trajectory of these two stories. They haven’t met in the middle yet, but when they do, the old Democratic Party will be dead — and AOC will be its next leader.
David Hogg wouldn’t have it any other way.
