So if you have some service running on your macOS or Linux workstation on port 11223, and you assume no one can reach it because it's behind your firewall, and that your big-name browser blocks outside requests to localhost, guess again because that browser will route a 0.0.0.0:11223 request by a malicious page you're visiting to your service.
As far as certain Fulton County officials can tell, the challenge to Candace Smith’s voter registration never actually happened.
Attorney Thomas Breth told The Federalist it is ‘mind boggling’ that election officials are reluctant to share public documents.
While serving as California attorney general in 2016, Kamala Harris sent 11 California Department of Justice agents to raid the home of journalist and pro-life activist David Daleiden. Harris’ office seized Daleiden’s camera equipment and hard drives containing undercover videos allegedly exposing Planned Parenthood’s trafficking of aborted baby body parts. For eight years, much of Daleiden’s footage has been sealed and unseen until now.
In March of this year, Congress held a hearing on, “Investigating the Black Market of Baby Organ Harvesting,” which included footage subpoenaed from Daleiden’s Center for Medical Progress (CMP). In May, the San Francisco District Court ruled that CMP cannot be prevented from releasing the subpoenaed footage, and on July 30, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R- Ga., released full, unedited versions of the footage as an addendum to the congressional hearing.
The release of these new videos allows Daleiden to continue his journalistic work that began in 2015, uncovering Planned Parenthood’s alleged participation in fetal organ trafficking. His latest videos include alleged admissions from Planned Parenthood employees about their “financial incentives” and their own graphic descriptions about the process for procuring late-term fetuses to sell.
Last November, Virgin Atlantic Airways made headlines for completing the world’s first transatlantic flight using “100 percent sustainable aviation fuel.”
This week, the Advertising Standard Authority (ASA) of the U.K. banned a Virgin radio ad released prior to the flight, in which they touted their “unique flight mission.” While Virgin did use fuel that releases fewer emissions than traditional supplies, the regulatory agency deemed the company’s sustainability claim “misleading” because it failed to give a full picture of the adverse environmental and climate impacts of fuel.
Einstein dedicated his time between 1905-1915 to develop general relativity (GR). It seems strange to me that no other physicists attempted to tackle this problem in this ten-year period. After all, developing a relativistic theory of gravity superseding Newton's should have been the holy grail of physics at that period. How come none gave it a shot?
I recently heard a story about John Wesley giving way to a stubborn man while on a narrow bridge: in short, Wesley was riding his horse on a bridge, while a man who was known to be a critic of Wesley was riding the other way. The bridge was too narrow for both, so the man said, "I never make way for a fool!" Wesley responded, "I do", and backed his horse out so the man can cross.
This was interesting, so I decided to look it up.
Dottie Rambo's family has attempted to collect the lyrics of songs written by her. As the lyrics get properly formatted for this website, we will continually be adding songs to this vast collection.
The TMS9900 could have powered the PC revolution. Here’s why it didn’t. //
The utter dominance of these Intel microprocessors goes back to 1978, when IBM chose the 8088 for its first personal computer. Yet that choice was far from obvious. Indeed, some who know the history assert that the Intel 8088 was the worst among several possible 16-bit microprocessors of the day.
It was not. There was a serious alternative that was worse. //
So why aren’t we all using 68K-based computers today?
The answer comes back to being first to market. Intel’s 8088 may have been imperfect but at least it was ready, whereas the Motorola 68K was not. And IBM’s thorough component qualification process required that a manufacturer offer up thousands of “production released” samples of any new part so that IBM could perform life tests and other characterizations. IBM had hundreds of engineers doing quality assurance, but component qualifications take time. In the first half of 1978, Intel already had production-released samples of the 8088. By the end of 1978, Motorola’s 68K was still not quite ready for production release.
And unfortunately for Motorola, the Boca Raton group wanted to bring its new IBM PC to market as quickly as possible. So they had only two fully qualified 16-bit microprocessors to choose from. In a competition between two imperfect chips, Intel’s chip was less imperfect than TI’s.
Harris is entirely a media-born creation on order from the Democrat Party. The press is doing its absolute best to prop her up, destroying what credibility they have left in the process. She is wholly artificial. She is a mask worn by people behind the scenes, just like Biden was. The only reason Harris is there is that she happened to be in the right place at the right time on multiple occasions. //

I love it. Great line: "The Plastic Candidate!"
But I'm going to borrow from your idea a bit & hopefully improve upon it. Since Harris has talked about how much she hates petroleum & so-called fossil fuels, calling her a "Plastic Candidate" is probably a bit misleading since plastics are actually made from petroleum. So, Kamala Harris is actually "The Paper Straw Candidate." For all of the reasons you mentioned, Kamala Harris is totally fake. But even worse she disintegrates under pressure, just like one of those super annoying paper straws that are being forced on us more & more often. And just like a paper straw, Kamala is an even worse replacement for something that was already made of something fake. The left wants us to believe that we will like paper straws because they tell us that we'll like them. And they tell us that annoying paper straws will somehow single-handedly save the environment. That's just like Kamala on both counts: "You will like her, or else" & she will single-handedly save the environment from imminent disaster.

It’s a good thing President Trump’s team has all of this archived for future use. They can’t erase Stolen Valor just by cleaning a website.
I noticed they have whitewashed Wikipedia by removing all references to this ass taking leave of his Minnesota National Guard position to teach in Red China, that contract had to be at least a year. No mention of getting married on the anniversary of the Tiananmen Square massacre or honeymoon in Red China. Also no mention of his at least 30 trips to Red China.
There’s a serious problem with this guy, he shouldn’t get near classified information.

Do you think this might be the mystery reason he got the bid instead of Shapiro? Is Beijing Biden still earning his pay?

My husband had a security clearance for 40 years and he said last night that any of those trips to China would have been a hard NO on getting the clearance in the first place and he'd have been let go from his brand new job 40 years ago. That this guy could be the Vice-President is scary.
Julin would go on to explain that the proper procedure was for Walz to come to him to request authorization to retire. Instead, he went around Julin and found someone further up the chain of command to back his play. That left his unit high and dry as they were fully expecting him to be there to help lead on the deployment.

Analysis: “It has never been about Israel, it has always been about destroying the freedoms and liberties of the West.”
The hogweed is packed with sap that causes phytophotodermatitis — meaning it stops the skin’s ability to protect itself from the sun’s harmful rays. In extreme cases, exposure can result in third-degree burns and even blindness. And the effects can last months, or even years. //
Giant hogweed is a biennial or perennial herb in the carrot family (Apiaceae) which can grow to 14 feet or more. Its hollow, ridged stems grow 2-4 inches in diameter and have dark reddish-purple blotches. Its large compound leaves can grow up to 5 feet wide. Its white flower heads can grow up to 2 1/2 feet in diameter.
“All data collected by the DMV that identifies noncitizens is shared with ELECT, which uses it to scrub existing voter rolls and remove noncitizens who may have purposefully or accidentally registered to vote,” Youngkin wrote. “According to data from ELECT, between January 2022 and July 2024, records indicate we removed 6,303 noncitizens from the voter rolls.”
In a statement after Contraras' ruling, America First Legal’s executive director Gene Hamilton said:
“The Biden-Harris Administration was actively destroying the records of federal employees at the CDC in blatant violation of the law — and we are pleased that the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia has ordered a stop to their illegal conduct.” //

Here's a question: "How many of the top bureaucrats of the CDC use "low level employee" email addresses instead of their proper email address?" Oh, I'm sure no bureaucrat or politician ever used email aliases. //

I tall you what. I think all the federal agencies are broken and I don't see how we can ever recover. The bureaucrats are running the country, the constitution be damned. The USSS didn't record radio transmissions during the Trump assassination attempt. The NIH and the CDC along with the NIAID and the DOD lied about Covid and gain of function. The FBI and CIA lied about J6.... They lied about killing Ashli Babbitt and Byrd got a promotion. They go merrily on their way as the country implodes because of their decisions and yet no one is in jail. DHS lied about the border and flying ILLEGALS all over the country. They have placed an ex-congresswoman (Gabbard) on the terrorist watch list. They can find people who pray at abortion clinics and sentence them to prison. They raid a former presidents residence because of "classified" documents but the meat sack is too senile to be charged as was DJT. I could go on all day but what the hell, no one pays the price except us deplorables. What a bullshit society we are lining in today and the bureaucrats continue to run it into the ground with impunity. If this continues and I see no reason it won't....we don't have long as a country before the wheels fall off the train and we crash like never before.
I have this romantic idea about the lost writings of Epicurus that perhaps somewhere at the bottom of the Aegean Sea there still lies a ship sunken in Ancient Greek times with copies of the philosopher's writings stored in some waterproof amphorae (or something like that). Maybe one day they will resurface as was the case with the Antikythera wreck and mechanism, or maybe they won't and the ship and its remaining contents will just dissolve into enlarging entropy. Personally, I would certainly welcome their discovery most dearly ...
Now my question is along similar lines but more concrete in terms of known history: What were important instances of historic documents (or other artifacts) that were thought lost (e.g. with the library of Alexandria) or that were inaccessible at the time (e.g. in Soviet Russian archives) and that led to significant new historic understanding when new developments occurred and copies became available (perhaps surprisingly)?

If we could convince Kamala Harris that illegal aliens are actually journalists trying to ask her questions she'd build that border wall in five seconds.
