Newt Gingrich on New York: Could Trump Actually Take the Empire State? – RedState
thumbnail

There is one thing, however, that Mr. Gingrich is missing here. There's a lot more to the state of the race, and Trump's Madison Square Garden rally, than just the near-impossible odds of Trump's taking New York. There's even more to it than the task of helping down-ballot Republicans in New York. There's a bigger picture; there's a bigger message being delivered here, and that message was trebly effective coming from New York.

New York, you see, isn't just an American city. More than any other city on the planet, perhaps, New York is an international city. It's the center of global finance. It's the economic epicenter of the planet, and what's more, it's a major cultural center. A significant event in New York, like Trump's Madison Square Garden rally, draws eyes from all over the planet. And by hosting a huge, boisterous, in-your-face MAGA rally in Madison Square Garden, Trump is in effect throwing down the gauntlet not only to American Democrats but to the whole world, and the message is "I'm coming back, and this time I'm not making the same mistakes I made the first time."

It was a powerful message. It remains a powerful message. What's more, it's a winning message. And delivered this close to the election, it's a game-changing message.

Climate change: World way off target to limit warming says UN
thumbnail

Global efforts to tackle climate change are wildly off track, says the UN, as new data shows that warming gases are accumulating faster than at any time in human existence. //

The UN wants to see how much progress is being made in driving down emissions that are threatening to push global temperatures well above 1.5C this century, a level beyond which scientists say extremely damaging impacts will occur. //

The rise last year was higher than the previous 12 months, due to record fires in Canada, and the onset of the El Niño weather event all adding to ongoing emissions from fossil fuels. ///

"Greenhouse gases" == Carbon dioxide, which is food.

There are far more damaging greenhouse gases, but only CO2 affords gov't bureaucrats more power.

I love historical documentaries. I’m currently watching one about the 1939 pro-Nazi rally at Madison Square Garden. Oh wait, it’s a live Trump rally! My bad.

Analysis: China’s emissions set to fall in 2024 after record growth in clean energy - Carbon Brief
thumbnail

China’s carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions are set to fall in 2024 and could be facing structural decline, due to record growth in the installation of new low-carbon energy sources. //

China’s CO2 emissions have seen explosive growth over recent decades, pausing only for brief periods due to cyclical shocks.

Over the past 20 years, its annual emissions from fossil fuels and cement have climbed quickly almost every year – as shown in the figure below – interrupted only by the economic slowdown of 2015-16 and the impact of zero-Covid restrictions in 2022.

While CO2 is rebounding in 2023 from zero-Covid lows (see: Why emissions grew in Q3 of 2023), there have also been record additions of low-carbon capacity, setting up a surge in electricity generation next year. (See: Solar, wind and hydropower set to surge in 2024.)

Combined with a rebound in hydro output following a series of droughts, these record additions are all but guaranteed to push fossil-fuel electricity generation and CO2 emissions into decline in 2024, as shown in the figure below.

Bureaucrats: 'It Might Take a Year' to Cut a Road to Big Chimney. Coal Miners Do It in a Week. – RedState

A group of coal miners from West Virginia have finished building a road from Big Chimney in under a week.

A road that North Carolina Government Officials said would take several months to a year for them to do. #appalachianstrong

Men doing the work. Celebrities doing the complaining. The contrast cannot be clearer. I admit that I don’t know the politics of those West Virginians, and I don’t know who they are voting for president, but I think I can make an educated guess. Is there any doubt that an EPA hack will step in soon and demand that the Big Chimney terrain be returned to a mass of boulders because the coal miners didn't pull permits and didn't get an environmental study? //

I don't think EPA will try to do anything; they see the Trump Train a'coming down the track, so they are too busy scrambling and trying to burrow in somewhere. The last thing they want to do is make public asses of themselves right now.

When They Tell You Donald Trump's Madison Square Garden Event Was a 'Nazi Rally,' Show Them This – RedState
thumbnail

Perhaps most disturbingly, Democrat vice presidential nominee Tim Walz echoed their comments, telling a Nevada audience Sunday, "There’s a direct parallel to a big rally that happened in the mid-1930s at Madison Square Garden.”

But here's some food for thought. The same people making this garbage claim won't tell you two key things.

For starters, as we noted, there was a significant Jewish presence at the rally, with Israeli flags also being on full display. Receipts:

Secondly, let's recall that at the Democrat National Convention in Chicago back in August, Jews had to meet in secret out of fear due to constant harassment from pro-Hamas Democrat coalitions: //

So with that in mind, tell me again where Jewish people likely felt safer - the Trump rally on Sunday or at the Democrat National Convention, where Jewish groups had to meet in private with heavy security presence on top of that? I report, you decide. //

Jews are nazis now too, unless you haven't been paying attention.

President Trump is a terrible Nazi. He has Jewish grandchildren. His son in law is orthodox Jewish and his daughter converted to Judaism, and he hasn't sent any of them to the gas chambers. What a failure as a Nazi. How come we didn't hear about any Nazis when the DNC held 4 DNC conventions at the same venue? by Harris's logic, all 4 democrat conventions were all Nazi propaganda. //

Please remind these washed up Democrat Morons and their media lapdogs that in 1924 100’s of KKK in full uniform marched unimpeded into the Democrat National Convention at Madison Square Garden in order to encourage their Party Leaders to pass legislation that was favorable to them. After all, they had been doing the Democrat Parties dirty work by terrorizing and lynching Black Americans and those that supported them. It was time for the Democrats to return the favor.
