This is what happened from 2005 to 2009. During his second term, President Bush violated the following crucial electoral maxims:

1. A Second Term Republican President Should Never Abandon the Party Base on Important Issues;
2. A Second Term Republican President Should Never Surrender on the Political Battlefield;
3. A Second Term Republican President Should Never Fall for the Sweet Nothings of the MSM and the Democrat Establishment; and
4. A Second Term Republican President Should Also Beware the (Similar) Sweet Nothings of the GOP Establishment and more liberal Republicans.

Post-2005, President Bush abandoned his GOP party base multiple times.

Depending on the router model, different Quickset modes might be available from the Quickset dropdown menu:

• CAP: Controlled Access Point, an AP device, that will be managed by a centralized CAPsMAN server. Only use if you have already set up a CAPsMAN server.

• Home Mesh: Made for making bigger WiFi networks. Enables the CAPsMAN server in the router, and places the local WiFi interfaces under CAPsMAN control. Just boot other MikroTik WiFi APs with the reset button pressed, and they will join this HomeMesh network (see their Quick guide for details)
• PTP Bridge AP: When you need to transparently interconnect two remote locations together in the same network, set one device to this mode, and the other device to the next (PTP Bridge CPE) mode.
• PTP Bridge CPE: When you need to transparently interconnect two remote locations together in the same network, set one device to this mode, and the other device to the previous (PTP Bridge AP) mode.
• WISP AP: Similar to the HomeAP mode, but provides more advanced options and uses industry standard terminology, like SSID and WPA.

RouterOS allows exporting and importing parts of the configuration in plain text format. This method can be used to copy bits of configuration between different devices, for example, clone the whole firewall from one router to another.

An export command can be executed from each menu (resulting in configuration export only from this specific menu and all its sub-menus) or from the root menu for complete config export and is available for CLI only. //

compact Output only modified configuration, the default behavior
file Export configuration to a specified file. When the file is not specified export output will be printed to the terminal
show-sensitive (yes|no; Default: no). RouterOS version 7 only Show sensitive information, like passwords, keys, etc.

If the device has a default or existing configuration that requires replacement, it is necessary to initiate a configuration reset.

This involves applying a clean, empty configuration using the command /system/reset-configuration no-defaults=yes, followed by a device reboot.

The charges were framed to look big time, but they were eerily reminiscent of the hit jobs done on Alaska Senator Ted Stevens and former Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell, where normal activities were mutated into federal felonies by lawyers out to get a scalp.

There was some speculation that Trump might pardon Adams; that didn't happen, but Trump did order DOJ to dismiss the charges against him; New: Trump Justice Dept. Directs Prosecutors to Dismiss Federal Corruption Charges Against Eric Adams – RedState. That's when the fun started. //

This shootout is nowhere near over. Bondi and Bove are still surrounded by disloyal and hostile staff. The judge in NYC is bound to do something other than accept the filing; otherwise, he'll be a social pariah. Ultimately, a judge can't force the government to prosecute a case it wants to dismiss.

It is good that this first battle came this early and over a fairly trivial issue. A lot of unreliable staff have been identified and are no longer employed. The attorneys who came to work for DOJ as a government service and not as a political commissar should now feel more comfortable knowing they have the support of the DOJ leadership team.

Pam Bondi wrote to DOJ on her first day in office, “Any attorney who because of their personal political views or judgments declines to sign a brief or appear in court, refuses to advance good-faith arguments on behalf of the administration, or otherwise delays or impedes the department’s mission will be subject to discipline and potentially termination, consistent with applicable law.” There is no doubt she is serious. //

If you want to know if the prosecution of Mayor Adams was political, ask yourself whether the DOJ would have prosecuted Mayor Brandon Johnson of Chicago under the same circumstances?

The answer is "NO"! Johnson just got caught with a closet full of bribes with more to come and DOJ prosecutors are nowhere in sight.

Adams went off the Democrat reservation when it came to illegal immigration and Johnson did not. Adams was prosecuted.

Here is my solution as a Constitutional amendment:

If you're not eligible to vote for a candidate for public office, you cannot contribute to their campaign.... Period.

But this is a high bar indeed.

Better results might occur at the state level.... after all Sates, not the Federal Government, runs elections.

So here ya go....

You're not eligible to vote for an initiative, proposition, or candidate... you can't contribute to them.... Period.

Now we have another example. Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Scott Turner has formed a DOGE task force to work with the larger effort to comb through HUD's books, and one of the first things they found was $1.9 billion - that's "billion" as in a "b" followed by an "illion" - that had been "misplaced" by the Biden administration.

How, for the luvva Pete, do you "misplace" almost two billion taxpayer dollars? //

There has to be more to this story than a huge block of money confiscated by force of law from American taxpayers just being "misplaced." Remember that the Biden administration was marked by corruption and incompetence, from the very top down, and it's hard to credit that this money was just "misplaced."

This week there was an unfortunate outage on the mynetname.net Dynamic Domain Name Service (DDNS) that MikroTik hosts for free to their customers. I thought it would be useful to share what I learned about how RemoteWinBox solves this problem for its customers, so that you too can can roll your own remote access to your MikroTiks!

All MikroTik devices come with some kind of default configuration. There are several different configurations depending on board type:

CPE Router;
LTE CPE AP router;
AP Router (single or dual-band);
PTP Bridge, W60G Bridge (AP or CPE);
WISP Bridge (AP in ap_bridge mode);
Switch;
IP Only;
CAP.

You can run the command /system default-configuration print to see the exact applied default configuration commands.

RouterBOOT can be upgraded from RouterOS by:

Run command 

system/routerboard/upgrade
Do you really want to upgrade firmware? [y/n] 

system reboot

Every ROS version has a new RouterBoot version included in it, once you perform a ROS upgrade we always recommend upgrading RouterBoot also.

Was there something on Instagram, maybe multiple somethings, that made Planned Parenthood worried about their billions in grants from HHS? Has the advent of Mr. Kennedy, who (perhaps surprisingly for a guy who was a Democrat until about five minutes ago), made them worried about some social media posts, perhaps supporting "any abortion at any time, up through the fetus's high school graduation," endangering the HHS cash flow?

That may be. The sudden deletion of, apparently, every post that an organization made on Instagram, would seem to be the action of an organization with something to hide.
