This is hilarious. Theft is so common in California that it happened right in front of Newsom, and when the cashier (who didn't realize it was Newsom) said they can't stop shoplifters due to the California government, Newsom got mad at her and asked to see the manager. //
Then Newsom said he questioned why he was spending $380 when everyone else walked right out.
How completely lacking in self-awareness is Newsom, that he doesn't seem to understand that this is going on. Employees in his state are being told not to bother with shoplifters like this because they wouldn't face any consequences.
Indeed, Newsom seems more upset about the worker blaming him for it than about the Democratic policies that have led to this problem (along with the liberal DAs that refuse to prosecute such cases). //

Newsome doesn't shop at Target. His housekeeper shops at Target.
Made up story for the press.
Here’s the funny thing: Biden’s 8 percent estimate is derived from that same tax data on the top 400 taxpayers. So what’s going on? The president is describing a tax system that he wishes existed — not the system in place.
As Kessler noted, under the 16th Amendment of the Constitution, ratified in 1913, “Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on income, from whatever source derived.” //
Biden and the Democrats dishonestly use a definition of income, to Kessler's previous point, that they wish existed, vs. the definition that does exist, per federal tax legislation and the IRS. //
Note that unrealized capital appreciation is not included in the above definition of income. //
Here's more from Kessler:
In 2021, two White House economists — Greg Leiserson of the Council of Economic Advisers and Danny Yagan of the Office of Management and Budget — published a blog post that estimated what the tax rate would be for the 400 wealthiest households if unrealized capital gains were considered part of income. ... The report estimated that these households had an average federal individual income tax rate of 8.2 percent for the 2010-2018 period.
The steep run-up in stock prices in recent years has meant the wealth of super-wealthy Americans has risen significantly, even if they never sell stock that would trigger a tax liability. In fact, when interest rates were low, it was more cost-effective for a billionaire to borrow money against the value of those shares than sell them. The White House economists estimated what the tax rate would be if that income — now not subject to taxation — were included on their tax returns.
The headline is chilling enough. Add in the rest of the story and it's easy to see why President Joe Biden is a clear and present danger to the security of the United States and has been such since his first day in office — intentionally so, as revealed by a new Congressional Budget Office (CBO) report.
As the CBO reported, Biden — eagerly assisted by Homeland Security head Alejandro Mayorkas and Secretary of State Antony Blinken — has summarily allowed at least 6.2 million illegal aliens to walk into the country, with virtually no questions asked. //
So let's do the math: 1.2 million, 2.7 million, and 3.3 million — up to October 2023 — add up to 6.2 million illegal aliens encountered and summarily released in just three years.
Now add in gotaways — U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) sources have confirmed over 1.7 million known gotaways at the Southwest border — the number of which is unknowable, and estimates of the total number of illegal aliens released into the country by Team Biden reach 9 million or more.
Biden claims that he hasn't believed the border was secure for the last ten years and that he's been saying that for the last decade. Of course, that's completely untrue. He and his people have insisted that the border was secure right up until this comment that he just made this week. So this is a huge falsehood he's attempting here. How can you trust anyone who is this delusional and dishonest? //
He seems to want to blame Republicans here for not giving him money. It isn't about money, it's about enforcing the law. It's because Biden undid everything former President Donald Trump had in place that was working and then things exploded. Plus, he had a Democratic Congress for the first two years. //

None of the explanations have been particularly satisfying. Last week I heard one that made more sense. Alot of hard-blue states are exporting population as quick as U-Haul can get the trucks. Those voters and the nums that they generate go into the census. The Congressional Districts where the U-Hauls are going are in red states. Blue states down and red ststes up. It's a freakin' lightmare for the left.
Unless more warm bodies can be shoehorned into Chicago, NYC, LA, San Francisco, Boston, and other crazy urban areas...those states are gonna lose ALOT of House seats and electoral votes after the next census. It's not about generating fake votes...which would be a bonus for the lefties...it's about pumping up their nums to slow the bleeding in terms of House seats.
Don't know if that's supported by data...but it makes sense to me.

Fetterman being unable to process basic conversations wasn’t a redline for the left. But him supporting Israel is. //
Don't worry, I'm not under any illusions that he's not going to royally tick me off with some far-left stance on another issue in the near future. For the moment, I'm enjoying the entertainment value of all this. //

Fetterman would have to be in the top 5 of least bad Democrats. That is how wretched the party is and how wretched most of their Senators and Congressmen are.
It says a lot more about the rest of the party than it says about Fetterman.

And we wonder how Hitler rose to power in Germany and the people stood by while atrocities were committed.
At least 25% of the Democrat party would openly support a Holocaust on US soil if they could see a political advantage to it and I might be really low. It might be closer to 50%.
Do you think people who support drugging and mutilating and grooming kids are going to have a problem with ethnic and religious genocide? Do you really think people who advocate for the death of anyone who won't join their religious devotion to the poison poke would really oppose genocide for other reasons?
If they support these things, there is no logical reason why they would not support other types of genocide. I'm sure if asked the question, they wouldn't admit it, but neither would Germany have admitted it in 1920, but in less than a generation, most of the population would do nothing or willingly assist as millions of Jews were rounded up, tortured, enslaved and murdered.
