Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) was on fire on Tuesday as he grilled Joe Biden's Secretary of State Antony Blinken before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
This may just be one of the most effective cross-examinations over how bad the administration has been on Iran that you're ever going to see, and how they've helped our enemies while hurting our allies. He really drops the hammer on him at the end. //
"You've funded our enemies and you undermine our friends," Cruz said. "And the world is much much more dangerous as result and Americans are in much greater jeopardy because of it."
Blinken protested saying we weren't "alone" anymore.
Cruz dropped him with a final withering remark, "Remember the Abraham Accords?"
That was a reminder of how we had the area in greater peace under former President Donald Trump and now it's in flames because of Joe Biden.

Last week: Biden Admin claims it can locate Hamas leaders, and it offers to give the locations to Israel to stop the Rafah invasion
Today: Biden Admin was wrong about Sinwar’s location, and its intel about Sinwar is roughly one month old
7:28 PM · May 18, 2024 //
That should leave people asking exactly what Iran, which uses Hamas as a proxy, has on the president. What else would motivate Biden to try this ruse on a long-time ally besides appeasing the Mullahs he's always bent over backward for?
I would think this has to be the end of Israel taking any council from Biden seriously.
The WSJ notes that the total household net worth rose 19 percent through Biden’s first three years in office, but it was higher, 23 percent, through Trump’s first three years. But the real kicker was after doing the adjustment, under Biden, net worth only goes up 0.7 percent through his three years versus 16 percent through Trump's.
If any of this sounds familiar, you need to think back to the Vietnam War and our policy of allowing the North Vietnamese Army to have "sanctuaries" in Cambodia, Laos, and North Vietnam. For most (maybe all) of that conflict, North Vietnamese Air Force fighters could not be attacked on the ground; they only became legal targets when airborne.
Though Ukraine is clearly able to use domestic weapons against targets in Russia, drones have their limitations. Because of US policy, Ukraine had to sit on its hands and wait for the Russians to cross the border rather than destroy units and equipment before they entered combat. I'm sure plausible arguments can be made that the White House and Pentagon are merely making recommendations, but there is no doubt that the Ukrainians are treating these recommendations as firm guidance, and the Russians are reacting accordingly. //
Since the one time Ukraine used US anti-aircraft missiles over Russian territory disjointed many noses in Washington, Ukraine has allowed Russia to launch glide bombs at Kharkiv and Ukrainian Army positions for the last five months with impunity. //
If the policy of the US is to bring this war to a conclusion, then the policy is an extremely stupid one. It allows Russia to strike Ukrainian population centers with impunity so long as the attack comes from Russian territory as recognized by the civilized world. Russia can mass troops and weapons on Ukraine's border at any point, and Ukraine is forbidden to attack them preemptively. They must let Russia strike first. If Biden's purpose is to drag the war out ad infinitum to maximize damage, slaughter, and political instability, then it makes sense. I'm not posing that alternative facetiously; as we saw during COVID, Biden and his appointees were willing to kill as many Americans as it took to impose policy preferences. There is no reason to think they hold Russian or Ukrainian lives in higher regard.
More disturbing is that we're seeing the return of Robert S. McNamara's Whiz Kids to policy making, only this time, we are using unqualified midwits and lackwits from the bowels of the Democratic foreign policy intelligentsia instead of legitimately smart people. They are trying to play cute "non-escalation" games that might be amusing in the faculty lounge after a few hits of some good Lebanese hash but which kill and cripple men, women, and children in Ukraine. Retreating to the establishment of sanctuaries where the Russians can train and stage operations is bizarre because we know that policy doesn't encourage negotiations; it encourages recalcitrance.
If we are serious about ending this war on terms acceptable to Ukraine and to our NATO allies, and that should be our only concern, then Russian forces and equipment must be put at risk inside Russian territory, and if it requires the use of American munitions to do that, then that's what we need to do.
That Biden is now saying it out loud is more evidence that his attempt to court the radicals in Dearborn has backfired.
Now what? My general feeling is that it's too late. Biden's political fortunes continue to collapse precisely because he's an indecisive, weak leader whose first instinct is to capitulate to crying Islamists. That he's now trying to do a gentle backtrack is not fooling anyone. He's typecasted at this point, and he better hope Israel eliminates Hamas sooner rather than later because if this festers too much longer, it's only going to get worse for him.
The message Biden is sending here is that it's willing to abandon one of its greatest allies at the 11th hour in a war it had no choice but to fight, abandon American hostages, and abandon any sense that America is serious about eliminating its enemies and punishing those who would dare harm its people.
Biden has not only made us look weak, he's made us look untrustworthy. If ever our allies are in need, Biden has told them that we'll buckle if the going looks like it's going to get a little too tough.
Moreover, this isn't just a message sent to our allies, this is a message sent to our enemies. We just told them that America will fold under the right circumstances. The tiger is made of paper.
Biden, and his handlers, have to go. Not just because he's severely mucked things up here in the States, but because it's clear that he poses a clear danger to the international community.
So not only is he threatening them by holding up weapons, he's providing weapons to their enemies, including Lebanon where they have Iran terror proxies who are even now attacking Israel.

Biden is something other than a senile old man who wouldn't know the truth if it punched him in his botox-stretched face.
Joe Biden is objectively evil. //
It's cliche to call something astonishing, but it's truly mind-blowing to see a U.S. president side with a terrorist group over a multi-generational ally. Never mind that Hamas continues to attack and is still holding dozens of hostages, including some Americans. Yet, Biden has decided he doesn't care about any of that, instead choosing to prioritize his electoral prospects (and committing an impeachable offense in the process).
Do you know what you call someone who throws an ally to the wolves for cheap personal gain? You call them evil, and Biden is just that. He's also a moral coward who is so terrified of his own shadow that he can't even speak clearly about genocidal maniacs. //

BIDEN: "It made sense to go get bin Laden..."
REMINDER: Biden opposed the raid on bin Laden — and counseled Obama against it.

This should be the final straw for American voters. Biden can not be allowed to remain the President of the United States. We are well past the point of these just being simple policy disagreements. What is coming from the White House is simply evil.
In addition to a craven attempt to shore up his crumbling electoral support, Biden is showing our allies and enemies that America, under his failed leadership, is not a reliable ally. Just as he has withheld arms from Ukraine to prevent Russia from suffering a battlefield defeat, he's now withholding weapons from Israel to save Hamas's bacon. This is not unnoticed in Tehran, Beijing, Pyeongyang, and Moscow. It is also noticed in Brussels, London, and every other friendly capital on the globe. //

https://townhall.com/tipshe... quotes an X tweet by David M Friedman at https://twitter.com/DavidM_... :
The weaponry that America appears to be withholding from Israel is very precise and accurate. It will assist Israel in minimizing civilian casualties in Rafah when it begins its battle to eradicate the four Hamas battalions that continue to threaten Israel and its citizens. What is the US hoping to achieve here? It is elevating political points over human life!
According to reports, the Biden administration has halted multiple arms shipments to Israel. That decision comes amid a domestic political crisis for the president in which he is desperately seeking to appease Hamas-supporting Democrats who have taken to the streets. //
In other words, Biden just committed an impeachable offense. Congress appropriated that aid to Israel. He doesn't get to delay it in an attempt to smooth over his political misfortunes at home. How do I know that? Because that's the standard Democrats set with their first impeachment of Donald Trump.
One can only speculate as to why Biden Inc. would try to reclassify National Guard units to the Space Force, but it seems more than coincidental that more than a dozen Republican governors have sent state National Guard soldiers to help cope with the disastrous Biden border since 2021. Hmm.
One way for Biden to stop that upstaging and embarrassment is to simply move those personnel into the Space Force and prevent them from helping at the border.
Yet, he didn't say anything at all that he would do or the DOJ would do to address the criminal actions or the people behind the chaos. He also didn't address the reports that some of his mega-donors were involved in the funding that ultimately helped the campus actions.
So how much are any of his words worth now? Not a lot.

Can you imagine what the Trump OMB will be uncovering, when it audits the past four years of the Biden administration?
Every single Biden department and cabinet agency has had zero supervision for four whole years. Zero accountability. A total cess pit.
The "CHNV" migration parole program stands for Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela. Immigrants from these countries are eligible to participate in the parole program. The program permits them to fly into the U.S. directly under certain conditions, such as having a sponsor in the U.S. and being approved for travel.
Between January and August 2023, approximately 200,000 migrants flew into the U.S. via this program. Notably, 80 percent of these arrivals, totaling 161,562 individuals, landed in four cities in Florida: Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Orlando, and Tampa.
In a fit of rage, Henry II said, "Will no one rid me of this turbulent priest?"
Four Norman knights—Reginald FitzUrse, Hugh de Morville, William de Tracy, and Richard le Breton—heard Henry's complaint and decided to act. They cornered Becket in Canterbury Cathedral and hacked him to death.
No one accuses Henry II of ordering the death of Thomas à Becket, but by the same token, no one doubts that the knights who did the killing were acting according to Henry's wishes.
So what would inspire the IC to burn more of its already shredded and feces-stained credibility to promote a story that is, at worst, an outright lie and, at best, a disingenuous parsing of the word "order?"
My guess would be that Jake Sullivan has hatched some sort of midwit plan that will only work if Putin's complicity in Navalny's murder can be whitewashed into a misunderstanding. The erasure of the murder would allow Biden and Putin to meet face-to-face. By determining that rogue actors killed Navalny without official sanction, it could, conceivably, permit the removal of some of the sanctions imposed after Navalny's death. The IC, as always, stands ready to do whatever it takes to please its Democrat masters, national security, and the Constitution be damned. //

Back when Val Plame was doin' glamour shots for Vanity Fair as the CIA Analyst You'd Love to...Fly with..I took a look at the CIA's nuclear counter proliferation efforts and their track record. Val was a counterproliferation alumnus.
This office has missed every atomic or thermonuclear test except ours and the UK's. Every one. They got ours because they were notified when the test was gonna happen. They got the UK one right because they were invited to observe. Everybody else's slipped it by them. The level of epic fail in this office is nearly perfect.
Why are we still paying for the epic fail?
There are many reasons the faculties at law schools are overwhelming liberal and crazy but the main reason is because that is where the money is. Many are the well-funded liberal law firms — the ACLU being the most notorious one. They are hiring. Rare are the conservative groups.
To be sure, big corporations pay better to defend themselves, but that does not stop abuses outside the corporate world. There is no money to be made by Exxon (for example) in stopping the student loan steal. And so the theft occurs with Republicans talking the talk but walking away.
Until Republicans go to court, get a TRO and force Biden to defend forcing women to undress before men in their locker room, I do not want to hear Republican complaints.

Debt is never truly canceled, only transferred. And Biden’s latest election year stunt could transfer nearly $150 billion of student loan debt onto your backs, even though 87% of American adults don’t have student debt. We need your help to fight back.
The 23 million-acre petroleum reserve on the North Slope was set aside as an emergency oil supply, originally for the U.S. Navy, by President Warren Harding.
In 1976, in accordance with the Naval Petroleum Reserves Production Act, administration of the reserve was transferred to the Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and renamed the NPR-A.
President Joe Biden is on the verge of locking down half of it, making it unavailable for oil and gas development. He intends to do so with a new rule that is proposed by the Biden Administration through the Bureau of Land Management, a division of the Department of Interior.
