Senate Candidate for Virginia Hung Cao knows the magnitude of the gift his family was given when they were allowed to immigrate from Vietnam to the United States. In an inspiring speech at the RNC Tuesday evening, Cao tells of how America saved his life.
"We escaped from Vietnam days before Saigon fell to the communists. We were given a new life in the most generous country on earth. My name is Hung Cao, and America saved my life."
Cao's speech reminded us of the beauty of the American dream and that no country in the world is like our own. He shows us immigration done right — a treasured piece of American history and heritage that has gotten lost in the reckless stewardship of poor leaders. . //

To Avoid 'Kids in Cages' Headlines, the Biden Administration Has Done Something Far Worse – RedState
To avoid a bad news cycle, the Biden administration has allegedly created a human trafficking disaster. According to multiple whistleblowers, some 85,000 illegal immigrant children have been lost by the Department of Homeland Security after handing them over to largely unvetted "sponsors."
Testifying before the Senate on Wednesday, one whistleblower even alleged retaliation from the Biden administration after she alerted superiors about children being placed with people who "clearly were not their relatives." She also observed signs of abuse. //
Worse is that none of this appears to be changing anytime soon. In fact, Democrats were so miffed by these whistleblowers coming forward that they refused to participate in the hearing (which had to be held unofficially by Republican senators). Biden and his congressional cohorts don't care about children being abused. They just care about whether it will blow back on them or not.
All of this was largely preventable with an orderly, secure border. Instead, we've ended up with the worst border crisis in history, and the consequences have been and will continue to be dire.
The online magazine The Federalist rightly called the decision an “immigration rebuke,” but the author was mistaken when he wrote that Asencio-Cordero “was denied a visa by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services in 2015”—visa decisions overseas are made by consular officers, who are commissioned Foreign Service officers in the State Department.
The Muñoz case was the latest round in a battle by immigration activists against the doctrine of “consular non-reviewability,” which holds that decisions made by consular officers overseas in visa cases can’t be challenged in U.S. courts. If they were, the system would crumble—much like the asylum system has under President Joe Biden’s flood of released and paroled inadmissible aliens.
In a CBS/YouGov poll, 62% of Americans embrace mass deportation. The anti-Israel anarchy is a microcosm of our greater national anarchy, and people are getting fed up. //

@CBSNews
A nearly six in 10 majority of voters say they would favor, in principle, a new government program to deport all undocumented immigrants living in the U.S. illegally, a new CBS News poll shows.
(That isn’t purely partisan, it includes a third of Democrats. It rises to nine in 10 Republicans.)

“If you are not prepared to use force to defend civilization, then be prepared to accept barbarism.”
― Thomas Sowell, Knowledge And Decisions
While the Biden administration is attempting to look like it’s getting tough on the border, behind the scenes it’s operating a program of a “mass amnesty” for migrants, The Post can reveal.
Data shows that since 2022, more than 350,000 asylum cases filed by migrants have been closed by the US government if the applicants don’t have a criminal record or are otherwise not deemed a threat to the country.
This means that while the migrants are not granted or denied asylum — their cases are “terminated without a decision on the merits of their asylum claim” — they are removed from the legal system and no longer required to check in with authorities.
The move allows them to legally, indefinitely roam about the US without fear of deportation, effectively letting them slip through the cracks. //

This goes beyond simply ignoring the influx, beyond refusing--inexplicably--to control the border. This is active facilitation. //
ICE officers add that they have seen an increase in cases of such migrants committing crimes after their asylum cases have been dismissed, forcing agents to restart removal proceedings — which typically take years.
“Please let everyone know what’s really going on,” an ICE officer told The Post.
This is what's so stupid about Democrats running around on Thursday shouting how "no one is above the law." People are clearly above the law, which seems largely dictated by one's political beliefs. If you're a Republican, you can bet the full force of the state will come down on your head if you so much as jaywalk.
If you're a Democrat, you can set things on fire, break down doors, discriminate, and "occupy" public spaces, and you're good to go. Be sure to collect your free meal on the way out of processing if you do happen to get temporarily detained.
That's not "law and order." It's not the justice system being blind. It's one of America's most important institutions being made a mockery of, and the left is happy to do its part. //

Bring enough of there here, and here becomes there. NYC deserves every bit of it.
Tucker Carlson recently sat down with Catherine Engelbrecht, founder of True the Vote. As you might expect, after 2020, True the Vote is paying very close attention to this year's presidential election. But what Engelbrecht says she found hidden in an obscure section of the U.S. code, could hold the key to a lot of what is going on, and the timing for it.
Engelbrecht told Carlson that she just happened upon it herself. Title 18, under the heading "Crimes and Criminal Procedure," states, "if the (illegal) alien reasonably believed at the time of voting in violation of such subsection that he or she was a citizen of the United States," that in Engelbrecht's words, "they are subject to no prosecution."
Wait, what?! So if someone comes into the country illegally, votes in the election, is caught, but then says they believed themselves to be U.S. citizens just because they came across the border and maybe checked in with the Border Patrol, they can now vote in the election? Engelbrecht went on to say that when she found this, she showed it to legislators, immigration attorneys, and even attorneys for True the Vote. The response was deer in the headlight stares. Engelbrecht added, "We've seen many many people coming across the border who are talking about their excitement about voting for Joe Biden, and claiming that they are citizens." //
In another part of the interview, Carlson asks if she believes that the majority of illegal immigrants would, or will, vote Democrat. Engelbrecht's answer is a sobering one. She stated, "I certainly see that the NGOs and the outfits that are bringing them across the country are grooming them for that purpose." //
Carlson then asks Engelbrecht incredulously, if the Biden administration is registering illegal immigrants to vote. In an even more sobering response, Engelbrecht states "They certainly are setting up all of the place settings to do it...It's not at all beyond the realm of possibilities, that is in fact, exactly what is happening." //
Funny, we thought Democrats were itching for another pandemic, but just maybe, illegal immigration is indeed the 2024 pandemic. //

In case anyone wanted to look at the "obscure" USC, since Redstate doesn't provide it, here it is:
18 U.S. Code § 611 (c)
https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/611
The "CHNV" migration parole program stands for Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela. Immigrants from these countries are eligible to participate in the parole program. The program permits them to fly into the U.S. directly under certain conditions, such as having a sponsor in the U.S. and being approved for travel.
Between January and August 2023, approximately 200,000 migrants flew into the U.S. via this program. Notably, 80 percent of these arrivals, totaling 161,562 individuals, landed in four cities in Florida: Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Orlando, and Tampa.

Democrat voting teachers unions demand open borders. They need new cohorts of students every single year to fill their failing K-12 classrooms and keep their union memberships dues flowing into Democrat causes.
Nothing better than floods of high-birth rate illegals. Open borders is a teacher union cash cow. That is why no Democrat will ever close the borders.
Follow the money and ignore their cries of "racism" if you dare protest this reckless Democrat policy decision. Open borders: Ka-Ching for the teachers unions.
Cortez told me he has been waiting three and a half months to cross the border. U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) had yet to schedule his interview. There was a long line of migrants ahead of him, and, at this point, he was just hoping to get into the U.S. before November 2024.
When I pointed toward America and asked who they wanted to be president, Cortez answered quickly. “I want Biden to win,” he said.
Betancourt agreed. “If it’s Trump, it doesn’t matter how much I work or want to work,” he said. “They won’t let me in.” //
the number of illegal migrants soared, with roughly 2 million people entering the United States each year starting in 2021—the highest levels since the U.S. Border Patrol was created in 1924.
Terrell County Sheriff Thaddeus Cleveland stated that cartel members are taking advantage of modern technology, and have taken to social media to threaten Sheriffs including himself, and other officials. Cleveland went on to say that cartel members consistently check his Facebook account, as Cleveland said he posts about the Sheriff's Department's work along the border. It is because of that work, that he says he has been called vulgar and unpublishable names, and had. threats made against him. Perhaps the scariest part, members warned Cleveland that they were "watching him and his woman." //
But it is human trafficking that is turning drug cartel members into billionaires, and turning the entire southern border into a drug cartel war zone as the cartels fight each other for control of the smuggling routes. The cartels see to it that no one gets to the border for free. One cartel member admitted that human smuggling has become "more profitable than ever before."
"No one wants to work on anything else right now. Everyone wants to work with the migrants because you can make a lot of money from it these days and it is easy work. Right now it is more profitable to smuggle migrants than to traffic bricks of cocaine, and with less risk if you get caught." //
In just the Del Rio sector alone, just a 245-mile stretch of the border, cartels are bringing in a staggering $32 million a week, bringing illegal immigrants across the border. In 2021, cartels raked in roughly $13 billion. That amount has no doubt risen in subsequent years. With that kind of money involved, you would threaten anyone who wanted to cut off that cash flow, too.
The Border Patrol encountered 53,282 illegal aliens between ports of entry in the San Diego Sector in fiscal year 2020, the last full year of President Donald Trump’s presidency. In fiscal year 2021, encounters in the San Diego Sector nearly tripled, rising to 142,459.
Since Joe Biden became president, U.S. Customs and Border Protection has encountered more than 9 million illegal aliens on America’s borders and at ports of entry. That doesn’t include 1.7 million “known gotaways.”
Syzdek says he and the men he served alongside “never imagined in our wildest imagination that our country, that we all worked so hard to defend for those many years that we were in, would have open borders.”

Crazy that Texas has to do the job of the Biden administration, which filed aggressive legal action to stop the state!
If anyone still doesn’t believe that ushering in illegals is the goal of the Biden administration, this should convince them.

The Supreme Court will now ALLOW the Texas National Guard to arrest & deport illegal aliens within the state of Texas.
A big blow to the Biden administration.

U.S. District Judge Sharon Johnson Coleman ruled on March 8 that a federal law prohibiting illegal immigrants from owning guns is unconstitutional, arguing the law did not adhere to the Supreme Court’s ruling in New York State Rifle and Pistol Association v. Bruen that stipulated gun control laws must fit historical tradition. //
But someone who broke the laws of the land and is illegally residing here is not entitled to the same rights that the Constitution secures for U.S. citizens. Foreign citizens instead must have their rights secured by their own governments.
The Second Amendment reads: “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”
The Supreme Court ruled in D.C. v. Heller that “the people” refers to “all members of the political community.” Foreign citizens are by definition members of a different political community. Writing for the majority, the late Justice Antonin Scalia wrote. “the people” “refers to a class of persons who are part of a national community or who have otherwise developed sufficient connection with this country to be considered part of that community.” //
The topic was also argued more than a decade ago in a different case, with a panel of the Fourth Circuit ruling in U.S. v. Carpio-Leon that “illegal aliens are not law-abiding members of the political community and aliens who have entered the United States unlawfully have no more rights under the Second Amendment than do aliens outside of the United States seeking admittance.”
an illegal immigrant who was attempting to cross the southern border in Eagle Pass, Texas, inadvertently cut a tailor-made ad for the GOP on the topic, standing behind a barbed wire fence while wearing a Biden-Harris 2020 t-shirt.
When he was reminded by someone off-camera that Biden and Harris were the President and Vice President, the man wearing the t-shirt said he was wearing it in hopes that they would let him in:
The people complaining about this part of the president’s speech have not directed even an iota of rage against the fact that an American citizen was killed by a person who had no right to be in the country in the first place.
There is a reason for this, of course.
For those on the far left, the agenda is everything. It takes precedence even over the lives of innocent Americans. They will push their open borders beliefs even in the aftermath of a person being murdered by one of the folks Democrats want to let into the country.

It is highly probable that the groundwork is being laid for something far worse than 9/11. Just a matter of time.

X owner Elon Musk pointed out an issue that most people don't even know about - that not only is Biden leaving the door open for illegal aliens to come in, Biden was also flying people into this country from other countries so they don't even have to cross the border themselves. According to the report, Biden flew in 320,000 of them last year. //
Included in details of a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit first reported by Todd Bensman, the Center for Immigration Studies found Biden's CBP approved the latest secretive flights that transported hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants from foreign countries into at least 43 different American airports from January through December 2023.
The program was part of Biden's expansion of the CBP One app, which kicked off at the start of last year.
Migrants were able, under Biden's expansion, to apply for asylum using the app from their home countries.
But the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) notes that the transportation of these migrants directly to the U.S. is one of the lesser known uses of the app.
Aliens who cannot legally enter the U.S. use CBP One to apply for travel authorization and temporary humanitarian release from those airports.
Under this parole release, migrants are able to remain in the U.S. for two years without obtaining legal status and meanwhile are eligible for work authorization.

Moreover, if you wanted more forces to help out, you wouldn't be suing Texas to try to stop them from defending the border. You would be thanking them and welcoming their help.
But on reflection, one of the more striking things to emerge from this was something that happened on my morning and evening Uber rides between my Arlington hotel and the CPAC venue.
Why? Here's why, and I'm going to tell you:
Cameroon. Chad. Uganda. Nigeria. Ethiopia. Those were some of the locations my Uber drivers were from. They all have several things in common, and those things they have in common speak eloquently to what America has been, what it still is, and what it hopefully will remain. //
Of all the speechifying I heard at CPAC, after all the great discussions I had with great people, these conversations were one of the most edifying experiences I have had on this excursion. Living as I do out in the Alaskan woods, I'm not often exposed to hard-working, legal immigrants like these folks; I was pleased and, yes, honored to talk to them, and my parting statement to all of them was, "Thanks for talking to me, and welcome to America; I'm glad you're here." //
The United States is still the greatest country in the world. We have our issues, and we have our enemies — some of whom are from within — but the potential of America remains. These people came to America because they saw that potential. Now, they are here and working to make their dreams happen.
To be perfectly frank, plenty of young Americans could learn a thing or two from their example.
Quite honestly, Lankford's position is utterly insane. This bill leaves the border no different than it is today, changes laws to make them more lenient, funds the chaos, and strips border states of the ability to effectively challenge this law in court. //
This bill is a solution looking for a problem.
The real problem, the asylum questions not being asked, remains.
It's sad that our lawmakers are so focused on making laws and not in solving problems. //

We've reached an interesting point in the decline of the republic. The point where people are both willing and unashamed to openly state bald-faced lies that are diametric opposition to objective reality... and almost no one will say anything. It's both fascinating and alarming to watch as politicians make claims that are clearly the opposite of the plain text of the bill.
They've always lied, of course. They might shade the truth. They might omit important but controversial points when talking about a bill. They might even make hyperbolic pronouncements ("Republicans want to take away Social Security"). But we seem to have arrived at a time when they're quite willing to insist, against all the evidence of our senses, that "we've always been at war with East Asia."
Orwell is my least favorite prophet.
