For years, Argentina imposed one of the world’s strictest rent-control laws. It was meant to keep homes such as the stately belle epoque apartments of Buenos Aires affordable, but instead, officials here say, rents soared.
Now, the country’s new president, Javier Milei, has scrapped the rental law, along with most government price controls, in a fiscal experiment that he is conducting to revive South America’s second-biggest economy.
The result: The Argentine capital is undergoing a rental-market boom. Landlords are rushing to put their properties back on the market, with Buenos Aires rental supplies increasing by over 170%. While rents are still up in nominal terms, many renters are getting better deals than ever, with a 40% decline in the real price of rental properties when adjusted for inflation since last October, said Federico González Rouco, an economist at Buenos Aires-based Empiria Consultores.
Radiologik is a system suitable for both live DJing and 24/7 radio automation on the Mac that uses the Music app (or iTunes in previous macOS versions) as its database and those playlists as the logical building blocks for sophisticated programming.
Radiologik was developed for and is used in LPFMs, NCE-FM, college and high school stations, and online stations. It's also used by radio and live venue DJs, Sirius/XM channels, and is licensed to users in over 60 countries. Fully automated and unmanned stations use Radiologik to pick content by date, intro and outro artists and titles, announce the time, station ID, play podcasts, manage and play advertising by a separate schedule that integrates with the programming schedule, all completely autonomously. //
- Radiologik DJ Download here
- Radiologik DJ can be used by itself as a DJ program for live events. It is also the player Radiologik Scheduler uses to make a full-time automated radio station.
Equally good: Live or full automation
- Radiologik is meant to be an equally good live assist and full automation DJ for radio so you can walk right in and take over and leave as you wish.
3 hot changeable audio outputs and 1 preview
- Radiologik DJ's primary is the program queue which essentially uses the first 2 players and the third for tight fits and voiceovers. It has 3 on-air players which can be sent directly to 3 distinct audio outputs with the right hardware. You get one more 4th audio output meant for off air used by the library player for previewing and properties player for editing ramp, start, stop, overlap, etc. //
- Radiologik Scheduler Download here
-
You can use the scheduler to run a 24/7 automated terrestrial or internet station. Basic and Advanced features are the same download and can be switched from the application menu.
-
It uses iTunes/Music as its database utilizing playlists and particularly smart playlists for song selection with its own top logic using a weekly schedule.
-
Radiologik Scheduler Basic is Free with DJ. It supports picks and fills from iTunes/Music playlists with time instructions, artist separation, unique track checking, and best fit exact time searching for top of the hour placement for station IDs or other arbitrary times.

One handwritten letter, addressed to “The World,” stated, among other things, “This was an assassination attempt on Donald Trump but I failed you. I tried my best and gave it all the gumption I could muster. It is up to you now to finish the job; and I will offer $150,000 to whomever can complete the job.” //
Barr said in a statement to Fox News Digital:
I was dumbfounded that the DOJ made public this morning the contents of the letter that, Ryan Routh, left with an acquaintance prior to the attempted assassination of former President Trump
Even if DOJ thought it important to provide the letter to the court, it could have redacted inflammatory material or arranged to have the letter submitted under seal. It was rash to put out this letter in the midst of an election during which two attempts on the life of President Trump had been made.
"It served no purpose other than to risk inciting further violence," he added. //

Which are we to believe:
The Secret Service and DoJ are suddenly hopelessly incompetent and negligent
or
The Secret Service and DoJ knowingly and willfully pulled back protective resources and put their least competent staff on Trump
Government, as George Washington pointed out, is like fire — a dangerous servant and a fearful master. //
Seriously, could no one have sat down with the Maudes, informed them of however it was they were misusing land to which the family had held a grazing allotment for generations, and tried to work something out without immediately and capriciously resorting to criminal charges? The Maudes do, after all, have a long history with the land in question. They have grazed cattle and, apparently, made hay on the land, which doesn't seem unreasonable.
A member of the Maude family has held a U. S. Forest Service National Grasslands grazing allotment in good standing since the inception of that agency, he said. //
In summary: The Maudes had every reason to believe that there was some misunderstanding, that the use they had made of the land to which the family had held a grazing allotment for generations was still acceptable, and that, following the survey in question, some accommodation would be worked out. That is what any reasonable person would expect — but we are dealing with the government, that dangerous servant and fearful master. The Maudes certainly thought some accommodation possible — right up until they were hit with the summons.
And theft of government property? Seriously? One would think this would rate, at most, a trespassing charge. //

They are willing to get into a fight with an American farming /ranching family over 25 acres of grassland but the government isn't willing to do anything about the Chinese government buying up thousands of acres of farmland here in the US, especially if its near US Military facilities. Makes a lot of sense. ///

President Biden said Monday that his White House aides have told him he “can’t” do things “that I want to do,” but that he would “do it anyway” — before asking young girls to join him on stage at an event honoring Gotham FC.
Biden, 81, shook hands with several elementary- and middle school-age children on stage in the East Room after making the stunning admission at an event honoring the 2023 National Women’s Soccer League champions.
“You know, I thought when I got to be president, I’d get to do things that I want to do. But my staff tells me what I can’t do,” Biden said after walking into the event holding hands with star player Ali Krieger, 40.
“But I’m going to do it anyway,” he added. “All the young women, young kids out there — that are out there, come on up and do this one. Stand behind me, would do. Just come on.”

Even if never actively triggered all bombs are “unstable with time” and although they don’t have a predictable half life they do break down with time at a rate often depending on the environment. The only real question is how they break down…
Remember “blasting oil” was not safe untill “Dynamite” temporarily tamed it with clay. But dynamite “sweats” not just with temperature but other stressors including time. Thus the blasting oil comes out and is highly unstable again, and can easily act as a vibration sensitive detonator to the dynamite it is on plus any other “sticks” in close enough proximity.
Oh and just for fun, look up Victorian “Exploding Billiard Balls” it happens due to instability in nitro cellulose which over time becomes increasingly explosive…
Just remember it was also used for piano keys as well, so a grand crescendo on a historic instrument could have a more explosive finish than either the pianist or audience expect…
Panetta was and has always been a political hack. A “yes man” who ended up heading the CIA, not because of years of experience at Langley or bringing some unique skills to the Agency, Panetta was appointed to head the CIA because of politics. Barack Obama put him in that position because he helped Democrats get elected, and he was the chief of staff for Clinton.
In 2011, after the Bin Laden raid, Panetta reveled in the success of the mission. Panetta addressed a throng of people at a CIA Headquarters event – which was to honor the people connected to the raid. At that event, Panetta disclosed classified information — in fact, "Secret" and "Top Secret" information regarding the personnel who found Bin Laden and who conducted it. He fingered the SEAL team (DevGru) and fingered the ground commander. Panetta also revealed more Top Secret information during the speech that was attended by 1,300, many of whom had NO clearance at all. //
In October 2020, Panetta and a group of 50 other former senior intelligence officials signed a letter stating the Hunter Biden laptop controversy had “all the classic earmarks of a Russian disinformation operation" because it contained potentially damaging information to the Biden campaign.
We knew then — and even the New York Times has admitted now — that Hunter's laptop being "Russian disinfo" was utter nonsense propagated by unserious political hacks, not the least of whom was Leon Panetta. //

So what if it was terrorism? It did more than scare the pants off the terrorists.
Since when is fighting fire with fire a bad thing? What goes around, comes around.
It seems to me it was effective at taking out bad guys with little or no collateral damage.
Cardinal Dolan told reporters that Harris "speaks very much about the high ideals and how it's good to get away from division and come together and unity and all, and that's what the Al Smith dinner is all about."
[...]
"We're not used to this. We don't know how to handle it," he said. "This hasn't happened in 40 years since Walter Mondale turned down the invitation, and remember he lost 49 out of 50 states. I don't want to say there's a direct connection there." //

I would posit that it is far more than Democrats trying to absolve themselves of their contributions to America’s current political divisions and tensions. Indeed, I believe it is an effort to silence those who oppose their ideology.
People pretending that Trump brought the assassination attempts on himself are, consciously or unconsciously, sending the message that if a prominent individual forcefully opposes progressive views, then they could also face violence or other types of punishments. Even further, any negative consequences for expressing their views are their own fault for daring to argue against progressivism.
To put it simply, they want to blame the assassination attempt on Trump because they want you to shut up.
This isn’t just about deflecting blame from themselves. Their arguments carry with it a covert threat: If you don’t shut up, something like this can happen to you. //

It might be even darker than Jeff posited. The media are actually saying Trump is not only asking for assassination because of his rhetoric, but he deserves it.
So they really think endorsements from a "commie" and a "warmonger" are good things, that's what they're telling us? That tells us something all right, that when it comes to keeping the establishment candidate they will do anything, throw under any principle or ideology, to keep the oligarchy in power. Not to mention the execrable Lincoln Project endorsing Harris.
What an ad for Trump that is. When all the bad come together, you know to vote for the other side. //

"I'm still on the left," Sanders says, while Cheney says he's still "on the right," as they play poker together. "But if we can agree on Trump," Sanders declares. "It means something big," Cheney replies.
That's the thing about this election. Trump broke politics. These corporatist dipwads may be on "opposite" sides, but are they really? And though there may be strange bedfellows among them, have they checked out the GOP lately with RFK and Trump? Tulsi? Joe Rogan? The age of one size fits all party politics may be coming to a close. God, I hope so. Maybe we'll get back to debating ideas and policies again instead of taking the lazy way out and destroying one another personally for party gain.
The fake Newsom asks, "If I don't ban Mr Reagan's parody AI videos, how would we ever know that":
- Trump will be a dictator on day one
- If he doesn't win, he's promised a bloodbath
- Hunter Biden's laptop was Russian disinformation
- Inflation is transitory and the border is secure
- COVID came from bat soup
- Trump told everyone to inject bleach
- Boys can be girls and girls can be boys and there's no such thing as gender
- Trump is controlled by Vladimir Putin
- January 6 was an armed insurrection where many police officers lost their lives
- COVID vaccines had zero side effects and masks were 100 percent effective
- Trump staged both of his assassination attempts
And the list goes on. The fake Newsom adds, "And how would we know that Trump is literally Hitler? Reincarnation is definitely a thing. Hitler died in 1945. Trump was born in 1946. Coincidence? I think not."
The 2025 Presidential Transition Project, better known as Project 2025, is the effort of a broad coalition of more than 100 conservative organizations working together to ensure a successful new presidential administration begins Jan. 20.
Project 2025, spearheaded by The Heritage Foundation, seeks to restore democracy, to loosen it from the grip of the political elites in Washington, D.C.
But the fiercest attackers of Project 2025 are lining up to protect the deep state. In recent months, the project has faced outlandish, hyperbolic attacks. //
Myth 1: Project 2025 is part of Donald Trump’s campaign.
Project 2025 was launched in spring 2022, before any major presidential candidate, including Donald Trump, announced he or she was running for office. //
Project 2025 is about people and policy. It isn’t advocating any particular candidate, but rather conservative ideals. Democrats and independents are welcome to its reform proposals as much as Republicans are.
The commonsense ideas in “Mandate for Leadership” transcend any one individual. They represent the solutions that millions of conservative and independent-minded Americans need after years of failed liberal leadership and bureaucratic bloat.
Myth 2: Project 2025 calls for a nationwide ban on abortion, in vitro fertilization, and contraception.
This claim is an outright lie. There are no calls for a nationwide ban on abortion or contraception anywhere in “Mandate for Leadership” or any other Project 2025 materials. In vitro fertilization isn’t even mentioned. //
Myth 3: Project 2025 endorses the “authoritarian” unitary executive theory.
Project 2025 doesn’t mention the unitary executive theory. Although many Americans throughout our history have debated the constitutional extent of executive authority, the Constitution makes it clear that the executive branch should be under control of the executive.
The Constitution also makes clear that the administrative state is not a fourth, unaccountable branch that may undermine the president and ignore congressional and judicial oversight—the situation America now faces.
The “authoritarian” and “unconstitutional” fearmongering is simply a projection. Many on the left have ignored constitutional rights, including those enumerated in the Bill of Rights, to pursue their political goals. //
Project 2025 would rein in rogue and authoritarian elements within the Justice Department, the Department of Homeland Security, and other parts of the U.S. government.
Myth 4: Project 2025 is the effort of a small group of elites to subvert and control the American people.
Project 2025, while organized by The Heritage Foundation, is the effort of over 100 conservative American organizations from across the broad spectrum of the Right.
Organizations associated with Project 2025 are united in their efforts to ensure a competent, conservative administration. //
Myth 5: Project 2025’s proposals to shrink the bureaucracy would harm Americans and are contrary to American values.
The Left claims that Project 2025 proposes to vastly shrink and in some senses “weaken” the government. On this point, the Left is correct.
However, those on the left are incorrect that these efforts would harm Americans. In fact, the efforts would make life much better.
As Ronald Reagan once said, “The nine most terrifying words in the English language are: I’m from the government, and I’m here to help.” Many Americans agree.
The federal government is bloated and inefficient and has not been reformed in nearly 50 years.
Making it easier to fire obstructive, lazy, or incompetent civil servants would save Americans money and make the government run better. Removing and reorganizing redundant and obsolete offices would do the same.
The United States has a federal system, but the role of the states in governance has been increasingly coopted by the U.S. government’s bureaucracy. Winding down and eventually abolishing the Department of Education would ultimately be in the interest of Americans, increasing the quality of education. Reforming the FBI would protect Americans from the politically corrupt leadership that runs the agency today.
These are just a few of the ways in which Project 2025’s implementation would serve Americans. //
Finally, there’s nothing sinister about Project 2025. It is an open book. It works out in the light and respectfully engages American citizens rather than gaslight them. It’s all available to the public at https://www.project2025.org
And while the Left fearmongers about the project, coalition partners have received feedback from many Americans, the great silent majority, that the solutions offered by Project 2025 are exactly what this country needs.
It was a nice moment and came across as pretty standard fare for a presidential campaign. It's certainly not the first time a nominee has walked into an establishment and paid for something. Trump has routinely bought food for people at campaign stops as well. Leave it to Democrats to try to ruin everything, though. //

The logic here is as stupid as it sounds. By giving the mother of three money, Trump supposedly broke federal laws surrounding vote buying. Of course, the woman never indicates that she is going to vote for the former president because he helped buy her groceries. //
Meanwhile, actual corruption and possible criminality by Democrats are ignored. It's mind-numbing.
Violent crime is up, not down, under Kamala Harris — but as usual, the Fake News isn't telling the whole story
Violent crime hasn't "dropped," as the Fake News insists.
When Kamala took office, the FBI changed how it collects crime data. As a result, they're missing data from nearly a third of the nation's law enforcement agencies — including from many of the most violent cities, such as Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Oakland, and New Orleans. //
A much more accurate picture emerges using data from the DOJ's National Crime Victimization Survey, which shows crime rates remain WAY UP under Kamala — throwing a dagger straight through the heart of claims to the contrary by Democrats and their Fake News allies.
FACT: Violent crime is up 37% between 2020 and last year.
- Rape is up 42%.
- Robbery is up 63%.
- Assault is up 34%.
- Violent crime (excluding simple assault) is up 55%.
- Domestic violence is up 32%.
- Stranger violence is up 61%.
- Violent crime (with an injury) is up 10%.
- Violent crime (with a weapon) is up 56%.
- Motor vehicle theft is up 42%.
Zelensky arrived in Pennsylvania on Monday, a hotly-contested election battleground state, courtesy of a U.S. taxpayer-funded C-17 Globemaster. What followed looked and sounded much more like a campaign stop than a diplomatic event, leaving onlookers to wonder exactly what the real purpose was. //
Vladimir Putin was never going to start a broader war with NATO because he knew he would lose. The Russian military is largely antiquated, poorly trained, and even more poorly led. He invaded Ukraine under Joe Biden for the same reason he invaded it under Barack Obama. Namely, to seize territory he sees as ethnically Russian. There is no larger plan for world domination if for no other reason than the reality that such a plan would be impossible to carry out.
Regardless, what Zelensky said and did on Monday is simply insane. He flew over to the United States at the behest of the Biden-Harris administration to trash their political opponents in a battleground state. //
Is Zelensky going after Trump and Vance because Democrats have prodded him to do so in exchange for taxpayer-funded support? Short of someone spilling the beans on what has been said behind the scenes, we may never know, but it sure seems like it. The appearance of impropriety is extensive, and the practical aspects of using government resources to have Zelensky come essentially campaign for Democrats six weeks before a major election is highly inappropriate. I get that there will be no impeachment inquiry into this, but in a government that wasn't eaten up with corruption, there would be. //
