They should have had one of their students do the math...
Estimated savings of 6,500 gallons of diesel per day x $4/gal (probably cheaper than $4 since they should be able to buy at wholesale prices and maybe without taxes). That's $26,000 saved per day x 180 school days per year, or about $4.68 million saved per year. They spent about $170 Million for these buses. They breakeven in about 36 years, assuming the buses last that long without any additional cost (yeah, right!) I wouldn't take that investment!
