Big news: I messaged @Lowes executives last week to let them know that I planned to expose their woke policies. This morning I woke up to an email where they preemptively made big changes.
Here are the changes:
• Ending participation in the @HRC’s woke Corporate Equality Index social credit system.
• No more donations to pride events or other divisive events.
• Ending ERG groups in favor of one large unifying ERG group for all employees, no longer designed to focus on race or sexual orientation.
They also hint at more future changes. We’re now forcing multi-billion dollar organizations to change their policies without even posting just from fear they have of being the next company that we expose.
We are winning and one by one we WILL bring sanity back to corporate America.
So far you’ve helped me change corporate policy at Tractor Supply, John Deere, Harley Davidson, Polaris, Indian Motorcycle and now Lowe’s. We are a force to be reckoned with. //
That is the beauty of all this. Employees and probably some C-suite junior executives are tracking down Starbuck to let him know about the underhanded inner workings of their companies when it comes to DEI implementation. They reflect the spirit of the age. Hardworking Americans are tired and fed up with having to jump through these DEI hoops while their hard work and company loyalty are ignored or disregarded.
While some might have some points of contention when it comes to whether he is truly fostering free speech, it is clear that X is not the same platform it was before he took over. I have my own criticism of some of the changes. But it seems clear that more right-leaning voices are able to make their views known without the rampant censorship that was happening under prior management.
Moreover, as I stated previously, none of the leftists who are whining about Musk allowing more right-leaning content to flourish on X had trouble with supposed “misinformation” when the left was dominating the platform. Very few of them criticized then-Twitter when it suppressed the Hunter Biden laptop story. Almost none took issue with the content moderation team that targeted people with right-wing views.
The author’s criticism of Musk’s conflicts with governments over censorship also reveals the true motivation behind their complaints. These folks have no problem with the United Kingdom, Venezuela, and other countries suppressing content because most of their attacks on free speech go one way: Toward those expressing conservative views.
The notion that Musk is somehow turning X into a haven for right-wingers is silly. But on one level, it is understandable. To those who are accustomed to leftists having supremacy over social media, allowing more speech from both sides might seem like propping up right-wing content. When a playing field is not level, creating more balance might seem as if it is skewed toward the side that was previously suppressed.
The truth is that folks on the left have only themselves to blame for Musk inserting himself into digital media. The left created Musk like the Joker created Batman in the 1989 film starring Michael Keaton. There would have been no need for Musk to take over X if those in charge had not actively suppressed content based on political viewpoints.
Why in the ever-loving world should Elon Musk use one red cent of his vast wealth to help improve Mid-Market? In case nobody informed you, Mr. Shaw, that's not his job. The taxpayers are paying some of the highest taxes in the republic, and they have every reason to expect that some of that money would be used to keep people from, well, shooting up and crapping on the streets. That's not Elon's responsibility. He doesn't owe Mid-Market, the Tenderloin, or the city of San Francisco a damn thing. But that's just like the left - sit around whining, waiting for someone else to do something.
Some years ago, one of my literary heroes, Robert Heinlein, wrote about situations just like this:
Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.
This is known as "bad luck.” //

On June 25, 2024, I wrote about tweets I saw from Gad Saad, “The West has committed the greatest self-immolation in human history”:
“When the leaders hate their civilization more than their enemies do, the civilization is doomed. Never before has history witnessed such a gargantuan self-inflicted death of a civilization that was an existential light in an otherwise world of historical darkness.”
Remember: War is coming to every corner in the West. It might take 5 days, 5 years, or 50 years but it’s coming. The West has committed the greatest self-immolation in human history. Save this post.
I just saw another series of tweets from an account Peachy Keenan along the same lines, but to me more personal:
You guys have no idea how painful it is to have been young during the absolute peak era of the greatest empire in human history and now be forced to watch it all unravel.
The saddest part is that we are doing it to ourselves.
Absolutely agonizing experience. Like watching the most beautiful person you know slowly mutilate themselves.
The reason everyone on Earth wants to move here is because if you squint your eyes, this country still basically “looks” the same, is still powerful, etc.
But we are running on the fumes of the past. //

Conservatives love what we have. That why we want to conserve it. So we feel pain when we lose it.
Progressives hate what they have. That’s why they want to transform it. So they feel no sense of loss when what they have is destroyed.

The cause is news as a profit center instead of a loss leader to contribute to the prestige of the network. As a profit center they found their 24/7 audience with Jessica in the Well, namely soap opera women. Instead of reading daily about Liz and Richard in the tabloid, they follow the news.
It’s an entertainment choice, and it’s calling itself news, which makes the audience feel even better.
Women prioritize feelings (hence soap opera’s attraction), and men prioritize structure (avoidance of perverse consequences). The Founding Fathers were structure guys, not feelings guys. The female end of the Supreme Court is feelings. (So guys are better at running big systems and women are better at small systems like neighborhoods and households. Stereotype is the too-strict father.)
Hence the collapse of everything through feminization. Amy Wax has a milder diagnosis – the rules of the nursery and kindergarten brought to the academy – but it goes deeper. Feelings attracts eyeballs of women and you can sell those eyeballs to advertisers. Democrats just supply soap opera in return for votes, in a sort of business arrangement with the media. //

Interesting perspective. I fault the MSM far more directly and have considered them the primary danger for years. By aligning themselves with the Democratic Party and its values, they have abandoned what I regard as a major value of journalism and the media, to bring accountability to Society. IMO if the light of day had been shined on Biden and Harris, Biden’s incipient dementia in 2020 would have kept him from running and Harris’ obvious incompetence would have disqualified her. What this Society lacks is accountability, from the shoplifter in CA, to the Trans in women’s locker rooms and sports, to the politicians at the top. What is not “right”, really isn’t right. Period. No excuses. //

Reading the comments I have to remind myself that the Fall happened in Paradise not outside of it.
No generation is spared the consequence of living in a fallen world. I doubt there has been a single time when some group of believers did not take the news of the day as proof the Apocalypse was at hand.
Are current events and societal changes accelerating the loss of paradise? Yep. Can it be slowed down? In patches, maybe. Overall, not a chance. Too many people yearn for that bone strewn path to Utopia. I know many will disagree but I believe we have left the battlefield and are now under siege. That means creating smaller worlds for yourself and your loved ones. It involves taking on a fortress mentality. While trying not to abandon charity, hope, and faith. That’s tricky.
I too grew up with more freedom. Some good, some bad. But at least I had the chance to learn the difference.
The Democratic Socialists of America claimed credit for Walz being picked in a thread on X.
Harris choosing Walz as a running mate has shown the world that DSA and our allies on the left are a force that cannot be ignored. Through collective action, DSA and the US left more broadly have made it clear that change is needed. DSA members organized in our workplaces and unions to realign the labor movement to support Palestinian liberation.
The Uncommitted movement, in which DSA members played crucial roles nationally and in multiple states, pressured the Democratic establishment into choosing a new candidate and backing down from a potential VP with direct ties to the IDF and who would have ferociously supported the ongoing genocide in Palestine. //
But what the DSA is telling us by this is that they seem to believe Walz was the more left-wing choice. That tells you everything you need to know about him, because they sure don't sound like they think he's a "centrist," as the media is trying to pitch him.
When it comes to supporting Harris for this election run, Powell Jobs has many tools at her disposal that lend a media advantage, starting with the fact that she is the publisher of The Atlantic. This would be the outlet that delivered the fraudulent yet widely-cited news item in 2020 that claimed Donald Trump called dead WW2 soldiers “suckers and losers,” based on anonymous sourcing. It is not tough to see how that outlet would lean Kamala’s way.
But this is hardly the only media influence Powell Jobs could leverage. Through two organizational entities, she has tendrils spread out across the media environment, in both mainstream outlets, local news, and as we will show, even in the realm of astroturfed propaganda sites. This is a veiled sector of the Jobs umbrella activities and one that can wield some significant influence.

NewsGaudians are the new brownshirts. It is well-funded and relentless. What to do about fact-checkers who cannot spell Res ipsa loquitur, let alone understand its meaning, when the meaning is defined for them?
I will follow Professor Turley’s lead:
This is why my book calls for a number of reforms, including barring federal funds for groups engaged in censoring, rating or blacklisting sites.
What do I expect? In about 2 weeks, some guardian goon from NewsGuard will show up at my “online” door:
“Show me your papers. Please tell me why the 'H' in Thompson is silent. What are you trying to hide, sir?"
The obvious question is: Why are they underfunded? Why was security so understaffed here, why was law enforcement "caught off guard" on Jan. 6, why were they so unprepared for the takeovers of so many of our nation's college campuses?
The answer is actually simple: The left wants this chaos. You don't have to go far to find proof: //
Under Biden, the Democrats have passed bills like the ludicrously named "Inflation Reduction Act" that cost billions upon billions, yet I bet most Americans cannot name a single thing these things have done to improve their lives. In fact, the profligate spending has caused one thing: skyrocketing inflation, which has hit every citizen in the pocketbook and decreased the quality of life for virtually everyone.
So, with all this money being spent, how is it possible that the Park Service has inadequate resources to deal with a riot that was almost as predictable as the rising sun?
It's because the left wanted this, and they will continue to endorse and enable it until—God willing—we and the rest of America’s voters send them packing. //

What no one realizes on the D side is that bitching about things and deconstructing them is all they know how to do. They have shown repeatedly since the Russian Revolution that leftists are only reformers, but they have no abilty to reform anything to a better condition. They build nothing, create nothing of value, contribute little, take much, and for some reason are smug and arrogant about how smart and awesome they are. They graduate and go right into government where they can start exercising their own wills and exert control. Since the left can create nothing that works, and can only rework things that already exist and didn't need reworking, they then have to force everyone to comply with their failure it until it does.
That's why all they do is whine about the problems. Fixing things that don't need fixing is their idea of progress.

To me, the most disguising feature of people on the left is that they do not understand human nature, especially when it comes to violence and reciprocity.
They think violence is just an antiseptic theoretical concept. They treat it like an idea or theory you would toss around in a classroom or dope-infused bull session in a dorm room. They seem to believe violence is something you can experiment with and then turn off with just a few words.
They also never consider the fact that humans are hardwired to be reciprocal. If someone gives us a gift, we are more likely to give a gift in return. If someone wrongs us, we are more likely to wrong them back.
If you read the history of any major conflict, you will find that almost everyone starts with one or both sides, making fundamental mistakes when assessing their opponents.
I am certain if we ever stumble into a civil war, the left's poor understanding of human nature will be a major cause.
Modern left-wing activism in the United States has roots in the Soviet Union's 1960s strategy to undermine Western culture. By promoting divisive ideologies and fostering internal dissent, the Soviets aimed to weaken the societal fabric from within, creating a legacy that continues to influence today’s political landscape.
Over the decades, these tactics evolved and merged with neo-communist strategies for infiltration. This resulted in a robust network of activist groups and organizations at both local and national levels. Initially designed to destabilize Western norms, these groups adapted to the changing political landscape, maintaining their relevance and influence. //
The foundation of left-wing activism in the United States can be traced back to a deliberate strategy orchestrated by the Soviet Union in the 1960s. This plan was aimed at undermining Western culture and destabilizing American society by promoting divisive ideologies and fostering internal dissent. The Soviets knew that to weaken the Western world, they needed to create discord from within, leading to a systematic effort to infiltrate various aspects of American life.
After the end of the Cold War, many leftists aligned with the Communist Party of the Soviet Union shifted their focus to the "green" movement. This shift was marked by Gorbachev's founding of the Green Cross, proving that the "green" movement was always a communist front.
The Soviet strategy aimed not only to spread communism but also to create a lasting legacy that would continue to influence and disrupt Western culture. By embedding operatives and sympathizers within influential institutions, the Soviets set the stage for long-term subversion. This approach, often referred to as the "Long March Through the Institutions," involved systematically infiltrating and gaining control of key societal structures, such as education, media, and non-profit organizations.

Even the initial question by the reporter is misleading. She says what is Johnathan's reaction to the four hostages and them getting released. But, they weren't released they where rescued, released would imply that Hamas willingly gave them up to the IDF but they plainly didn't. Rescue though shows that the IDF took them away from Hamas captivity despite Hamas' resistance.
Something similar would be the police rescuing an abused child from their abusive parents vs the the abused child being released from the abusive parents to the police. //

When I did an oh-so-brief semester stint in a Journalism 101 classd thinking I wanted to be one, we learned about these things called "weasel words" that are subtle bias inserted into the story to gently nudge you into agreeing with the author's viewpoint. But now everything is in stark contrast of right v left, the holy v the profane, the rich against the poor, with everyone v white people, especially the ones with dangly bits. There is no need for sublety anymore. The left controls all the institutions. Once you have control, you don't need persuasion. You just need force and compliance.
Our system was always an adversarial one of the people v their government. It is so serious they created an entire Constituion dedicated almost entirely to limiting and separating government power. The press is protected because they are the advocate of the powerless against the powerful.
But the press has chosen sides, and decided to side with the bureaucratic state dedicated to corporatist fascism rather than the people. It in fact attacks the very people it is supposed to be defending. Thus, it is no longer a mechanism of a free society, it is the oppressive tool of the bureaucratic state that exists to reap ever more power over citizens and to sustain itself. When you have the media actually condemning free speech and calling it dangerous and a threat, and openly lying about what we can plainly see is a lie, they have jumped the shark and forfeited their right to protection, and something is very wrong in within the entire institution. //

The reporter didn’t ask about Cornicus’ reaction to the rescue, she asked him for his reaction to the hostages’ “release”. A significant difference that shows a deliberate choice of words.
Someone should interview the head of "Queers for Palestine" and find out what they think about all this. These groups were supposed to be "allies," but as always happens, when you get a bunch of aggrieved leftwingers together, they end up fighting over who's the bigger victim.
For their part, Hamas supporters (and most Muslims) see themselves at the very top of the intersectional hierarchy. It's an extremely odd dynamic given that Muslim culture is largely antithetical to far-left orthodoxy on essentially all cultural issues. That's left many scrambling to figure out how to make the pieces all fit together. They might as well be trying to fit a car into a dog house.
The left is one giant contradiction. Nothing has to make sense because, as I've explained before, the cause isn't the point. The shiny object of "justice" continually changes, but the goal of cultural and political domination always remains. What happens when those pursuing that singular goal end up in conflict? //

I can tell you who started it (George W Bush) and exactly how and even when it started: March 13th, 2007. That was the day Gen Peter Pace, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, said this in defense of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell: I believe that homosexual acts between individuals are immoral and that we should not condone immoral acts. I do not believe that the Armed Forces of the United States are well-served by saying through our policies, “It’s OK to be immoral in any way.”
Pace, a former CO of mine and one of the finest Marines I have ever known, is a devout Catholic and offered his opinion in response to a direct question on the subject. So, ‘conservative’ president George Bush had Pace’s back, right? Nope. Bush immediately threw him under the bus and Pace became one of the only CJCS who wasn’t renominated for a second term.
That incident sent a message to O-4s and O-5s (like myself at the time), that if they were traditionalists, religious and/or held conservative social views, they had no home and NO CAREER PATH in the military. So, when they reached a point in their tenure when they were eligible for retirement, they took it.
Bush replaced Pace (a decorated combat veteran and Academy grad), with Mike Mullins, a naval officer who was known to possess ‘progressive’ social opinions. Mullins was also the first CJS who did not rate the Combat Action Ribbon/Badge. The slow embrace of everything woke began under Mullins. He was the architect of what we have today…all thanks to George Bush.
Google is the internet librarian. Google leads all inquiries down the aisle that Google decides is best, and that is invariably and distinctly leftist aisles. Sure, you can eventually get to opposing opinions and relevant facts, but you have to work for it. //
When they look for information, they don’t read books; they Google. Politico, HuffPo, and Taylor Lorenz for example, are the end results. The search results tell them they live on a dying planet, that skin color trumps merit, and that gender has a spectrum. If contrary facts are presented to them, an inordinate number will scream and stick their fingers in their ears. A liberal niece of mine wrote something false online that she pulled off the internet. I corrected her, in private. Instead of correcting her mistake, she chose to “un-person” me. She hasn’t spoken to me in eight years. She went to Cal Berkley and majored in English. //
All cultures are not equal, and pretending that they are and instructing teachers to elevate all cultures to equal status makes a mockery of our own. One of the developers of Critical Race Theory does not belong in primary or secondary education. Critical thinking does.
How to stop indoctrination? I’m not sure. I hovered over the final paragraph for quite some time. I still don’t know. We might be at the point of no return. I hope not. I hope we are, instead, at a crossroads. Florida is leading the way with pedagogy designed to teach, not indoctrinate. Facts do matter. There is no gender spectrum. Math is not racist. Palestine was never a country. Let’s get back to facts, and maybe we can save the country. //

"How to stop indoctrination?"
You might as well ask how to Unbrainwash someone. If you Google that you will see that nearly every site says step one is to re move the stimulus that is causing the brainwashing. This mean you would have to remove every leftists cell phone or remove every leftist news agency. This is basically impossible.
Therefore an examination of history is in order. Every country that successfully brainwashes at least 50% of its population (The United States has accomplished this) either ends up becoming a socialist/communist country or devolves into civil war. Keep in mind that the United States has already brainwashed 100% of the population into accepting an UNELECTED president in the White House for 3 years, 3 months, 9 days and counting with ZERO consequences.
After the stolen 2024 election, we shall see if conservatives will let the country become a socialist/communist regime or if something else will transpire. //

The great Thomas Sowell fears we are past the tipping point. You are not alone in your questioning of if this indoctrination can be stopped.
George Soros and his hard-left acolytes are paying agitators who are fueling the explosion of radical anti-Israel protests at colleges across the country.
https://nypost.com/2024/04/26/us-news/george-soros-maoist-fund-columbias-anti-israel-tent-city/.
USCPR provides up to $7,800 for its community-based fellows and between $2,880 and $3,660 for its campus-based “fellows” in return for spending eight hours a week organizing “campaigns led by Palestinian organizations.”
They are trained to “rise up, to revolution.”
The radical group received at least $300,000 from Soros’ Open Society Foundations since 2017 and also took in $355,000 from the Rockefeller Brothers Fund since 2019.
At the “Gaza Solidarity Encampment,” students sleep in tents apparently ordered from Amazon and enjoy delivery pizza, coffee from Dunkin’, free sandwiches worth $12.50 from Pret a Manger, organic tortilla chips and $10 rotisserie chickens. //
One thing is key: They are trained to "rise up, to revolution." You can see their actual training materials here. //
It is becoming apparent that these protests are not spontaneous. They are not organic to the locations where they are taking place. Spontaneous, organic protests don't involve PowerPoint training slides and legions of people sleeping in dozens of mysteriously identical tents. Spontaneous, organic protests don't receive logistical support from shadowy organizations funded by Hungarian-American billionaires who got rich with currency manipulation schemes. No, these protests were planned, organized, and financed, and now we know who is behind the financing.
According to Politico, many well-known legal and political commentators have been getting together on previously unreported, weekly off-the-record Zoom calls to talk about the lawfare against former President Donald Trump. //

A scathing report by three federal judges on the “misconduct” of plaintiff lawyers in a challenge to Alabama’s ban on gender-transition medicine for minors illustrates something we learned a long time ago: Many on the far Left, including radical lawyers employed by self-proclaimed civil rights organizations, believe the ends always justify the means and that rules of ethics don’t apply to them. //

Long term gamer, and just as long term Conservative. Games, like any medium, has it's good and bad messages, it also is a very young medium and that means it also has its edgy and experimental side still in tact.
...
Further, because of the mature of the medium it lends itself strongly to games that celebrate more masculine virtues. They have yet to make a compelling and fun video game that pushes Woke morality, because Woke morality does not lend itself to a strong gameplay loop. Foremost is this: Within the Woke worldview oppression innately disadvantages people and the only way to overcome it is by outside forces from the individual fixing. Meanwhile no video games are all about player agency, and the impact the player, as an individual, can have on the world. Games where the player has no agency and can do nothing to effect their own outcome are not enjoyable. Thus, games are inherently, structurally conservative, which is why the Woke progressives have spent so much time and effort to try and force propaganda into them, because they cannot overcome that base, innate factor. //
